City Vanlife Urban Water Sources and Setup

Up until now I have just been purchasing my drinking water and keeping it in the fridge.
For the sink I have a few different sources that covers dishes, washing hands, brushing teeth etc. not sure what happen to the clip of my tap but it is a common usb rechargeable one about $15 online.
I still need a proper water filter for the back country if any one has any recommendations, please throw them down below!

"water is heavy and fuel is expensive" that's for sure. I will be utilizing the"culligen" jugs as you called them, they are convenient in many ways. Not sure if you've ever come across the channel Hang Tough, but he covers a lot of urban survival type of stuff and suggests buying a sillcock key, it is a 4 way wrench tool thing for turning on the outside water faucets of commercial buildings as emergency means of sourcing potable water. As for filtration, I would say a don't put all your eggs in one basket approach may be best, have some life straws, filtration bottle, water purifying tablets, a stainless steel canteen and canteen cup are good way to be able to carry and boil water. You can make your own filters with varying supplies but that will only filter not purify the water, boiling is always the safest bet.

Very good points, I haven't come across his channel but I will definitely check him out. I have seen those little tools but never knew what the proper name was, a lot of train hoppers use them as well, definitely a good item to have and well worth the little weight 😁 Good call on the multiple setups for filtration, I would definitely need something portable, and then a larger gravity type at the very least.. maybe some stainless steel storage as I worry about the plastic in the hot van at times. I might try to redo my under sink plumbing so I can fit one of those 5 gallon jugs in there.. definitely regret not doing that from the start. There was just so many other things to consider during the build but compromising on water storage wasn't the move 😅
