CityDriver | The Car Driving Simulator | Let's Find Something To Do

Hello everybody and welcome to a game called CityDriver.
So after the last episode where we got used to the driving mechanics of this game, I thought it was about time we did some exploring and seeing what this game has to offer. I did mention in the last episode that I am a tad disappointed by the size of the map (it's small!). In fact I'd go as far as to say it's the exact same map they used for TramSim Munich, where's the rest of Munich guys?!
We'll be driving the manual Golf, last time we didn't do so well in the manual so I'm hoping by the end of this episode we'll be considered experts! I'm sure that's achievable for us!

Seems like it could be an amazing game, at the moment just feels like it’s half baked and very bland, hopefully it gets improvements down the line and it’s something you can come back to in the future

for the map i would have imagined atleast a bigger map because if we are being honest the car models arent the greatest either, they almost look like they float and the sounds and physics are not the greatest either. Also on the streets i noticed that there is way too many exotics like ferraries, porsches, amgs and so on, so it doesnt look too great when you have 5 ferraries parked next to each other. There should be more basic cars too. The suspension is also nonexistent

I mean if the good folk of Munich don’t care how you many vehicles you hit or how many pedestrians you run down then who am I to say otherwise 😏😂 Honestly it’s the on,y way this game will have longevity I fear, there doesn’t seem to be any depth or point to it. And that’s a shame as there’s a good base game here with a lot of untapped potential

I think the reason they gave you a free game is because you made it more fun than it actually is. Hopefully they'll take your advice and add better missions.

Nice vid , but my question is , this game is like similar to real life ? Like If I take my feet off the clutch too fast the car stalls? How accurate is this compared to real life?

There is not much to do. He did all the routes if i'm not mistaken. The devs who made tramsim also made this game and said that this game is their priority. We will get one small line (which is real life is way bigger than what we get) in tramsim Munchen and a passenger mode where you can sit in the tram and enjoy, but that's it. So I guess joe will play the game again when those things get released but otherwise, that game is dead.

Maybe you could revisit this game again? It had a few updates and a free map expansion of 35km on the autobahn (I think). Would be good to know if this game is still trash.

every time try to bine my gas pedal to the game, the car just takes off on its own, I tried to invert the gas and the brake pedal like in ats but it doesn’t work, how do I fix it.I’m using an tmx pro thrust master.

Really not sure what the point of this game is, other than a cash grab. It's reasonably pretty, it seems to handle okay but there isn't very much map, there's no reason to drive around other than to walk up to a building and get a screen flash and there's only so many times you can drive down the same street. If it still said early access I could maybe understand but it seems like it's wanting for an extra £10 - £15 on the price tag and a big expansion on scope. Shame really because a car driving sim round town would be okay. I've not checked too much of your back catalogue, but do we get to convince you to play My Summer Car? 😁

I absolutely agree with you... I do feel it's lacking a purpose... I've never played My Summer Car, I did have a small stint on Mon Bazou but I got quite bored quite quickly haha, would you recommend?

@JoeDobsongaming I'd never heard of Mon Bazou before. I've just taken a quick look, and if you didn't like that, I wouldn't recommend MSC! I enjoyed building the car and driving around when I played it a few years ago, but the two games seem to be built to the same formula. Summer Cars' biggest problem is permadeath. The car is so easy to run off the road and crash, on the standard settings that's game over, and there's no quick save. I wouldn't be in a rush to add it to your current roster of games 😂

Here's an idea, instead of it being a separate game, make it a tram sim DLC. just a thought.. I didn't know that about Tesla drivers...😂 You see! Watch Joe and learn new stuff. Lol Ever sat in a Tesla? Dull, steering wheel and ipad, that's it. thanks Joe. Take care.

@@dennistrident981 Interesting you say that because Fabian (from Aerosoft) teased somewhere at the end of 2021 beginning 2022 a photo of him and the one of the devs of Viewapp where they just finished recording busses. But he never said anything aftewards if and when that will come. But looking at the state of tramsim I doubt we will see that at all.

I have sat in a Tesla, it wasn't for me Nick, though I can understand why people like them! Yeah it'd be interesting like Tourist Bus Simulator, get in your car, drive to the tram depot etc

I had a lot of expectation for this game. But seeing these videos I understand that it's an absolutely incomplete game and I won't spend a euro on it. The day-night cycle is missing, the weather conditions are missing, places in Munich such as the train station, the airport, the Allianz Arena stadium that could make the game more interesting are missing. The map is small, with few roads, absolutely incomplete. The gameplay is unconvincing. Much more could have been done. How to earn money, buy cars and garage for your car. I won't buy it.
