Thanks for demonstrating how this press should be used. I want to try a press to better control cooking done-ness. When you're cooking for a big bunch of people, it's best to operate in "production" mode using a timer to make the flips. Great video!

I just used this press again the other day. It's great. And for the money, it's a no-brainer.

1:51. Mine didn't come with the parts to make anything but a stuffed burger, which by the way, it does very nicely, however, there were no inserts to go in to the smaller circles like you have here, to push out the patty after you form it. Even the rings it came with had no lip on them that would hold one if it did. Kinda bummed about that. So to me, it's just a good working stuffed patty press.

I have this and it's wonderful. My only complaint is that I make 3 1/2 ounce burgers, and even adding oil to the base does not let it slip off perfectly. strange but true… I tried a bit of cold water instead and that works better although again, not a perfect result. Practice makes perfect though! What I really love is the stuffed burgers! I can't wait to try that idea. Thank you so much for the wonderful video and the great stuffed burger recipe!

Thank you Victoria! I still use this burger press all the time, five years later. I think it was like $7 back then. That's $7 well spent. Cheers!

This is one of my favorite channels. Keep up the great work. Do you need to put a dimple in the center of the patties to keep them from bubbling up in the middle?
@GallaghersGrub7 жыл бұрын
You can certainly put a dimple in the middle. Not totally necessary I don't think, but wouldn't hurt either. Thanks for the kind words, bruindodger.

I bought this product and have been happy with it, but I need to find the slider piece. However, I have had a problem with warping, not a speed reference, but an issue of fit. The removable patty base will no longer fit into the base plate. We have only used the top rack for washing, and only use air dry for the drying process. I just reached out to Cuisinart, and await their reply. I think that watching this video is what led me to the purchase. Well done piece......perhaps medium done is more accurate. ;)
@GallaghersGrub2 жыл бұрын
Mine hasn't warped. Maybe your dishwasher water gets hotter than mine. Hopefully Cuisinart will replace it. Cheers!

Oil & oil mix. Oil & water *don't* mix. Try spraying a bit of water in it before pressing. You may get better results that way.
@stanleyds4 жыл бұрын
What if you like your patties thinner than that? Those look pretty dang thick. I personally feel like if they're that thick, I'd rather just have steak.
@GallaghersGrub4 жыл бұрын
You can use less meat no problem and the meat will still form a perfect circle, just thinner.

I accidentally bought sirloin ground beef a few weeks ago and the lack of fat was terrible. Try pressing your thumb into the center to create a divot before you grill. This will keep the center from swelling. Cheers!
