How do you trigger this is Shenmue 2, I’ve only experienced this once and I’ve played shenmue 2 many times since the OGXbox days

Walk past the guy after leaving the COGH for the first time, looking for the South Carmain Qr at daytime. Very hard to miss this actually.

I miss this most of the time when playing the game since I normally do the bag scene at night, then go to sleep at the Come Over Guest House and go to work the next morning. Then I just do to the Yan Tin Apartments and start the wude scenes. Had to go back to this part of the game after beating Shenmue II on the PS4 to complete this scene for the platinum. I've got it a lot when playing the game on the OG Xbox as a kid since I only fooled around and bought the Sega toys since I've always loved Sega and collecting toys.
