I was 17, a week before I graduated and I’ll never forget the shotgun between his legs and the pool of blood glistening in the moonlight. At his concert in Scottsdale, Arizona last year he announced that one of his good friends had sadly walked to the woods and took his own life. Lost my best friend like this song. He just turned 25 years old before he died the most violent death you can think of. Two weeks on life support, with a hole in the head from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, after multiple O.D.s. on Fentynol. Just so the hospital could harvest his organs, they kept him alive and they couldn't even salvage his organs because he took too long to die after they removed life support.
