The number of invasive "northern crayfish" in the waterway has been growing.. and it's believed people are moving them around the province-- and using them as live bait.

This is nothing new. The pelicans move them around. Stocking small dugouts and lakes and rivers.

Pretty sure they are a staple food in Louisiana. They call them crawfish. I’m guessing you don’t like shellfish 🦞.
