What's missing on the Riverwalk, specifically the portion that hugs the river, are bars and restaurants right on the water that are accessible right from the Riverwalk itself. The Aloft hotel has a hip little bar and pool outside, but you can't directly access it from the Riverwalk, and the hotel next to Aloft offers nothing but a wall to look at.. It's a nice public amenity no doubt, and Tampa has so much potential, but they need to further develop this area and promote more pedestrian traffic and activity...

@@mashencia1 - Thanks Maria. Tampa's great and has so much potential, but it's not being realized. The city needs to take a cue from St. Petersburg, that city has an amazing downtown.
@DanielReyes-zu8em3 жыл бұрын
@BostonDad508 - You want a dead downtown? Move to Plant City. More amenities, including bars and restaurants, are coming to DT Tampa, you're just not in the know.. The Water Street development is blowing up, and with it will come more pedestrians, more entertainment options, and more fun. So buckle up buttercup, those bars are coming. But like I said, there are a ton of homes in Plant City and Brandon. I'd get moving now, before it gets too wild for you..
@DanielReyes-zu8em3 жыл бұрын
@Anakin Skywalker - I agree. I'm not pushing for something like South Beach...but I am saying that Riverwalk could certainly offer more amenities for pedestrians that enjoy the Riverwalk. A couple of nice seafood restaurants and a Tiki bar or 2 would be nice...

@BostonDad508 - 😅... Do yourself a favor sweetie, drive across the bridge to St. Petersburg and see perhaps the most lively and integrated downtown of any major Florida city: chock full of bars, clubs, restaurants, shops, residences, and a pier (which itself has many restaurants and bars). These are all significant contributors to a thriving and healthy central city. DT Tampa is a ghost town compared to St. Pete, largely because it's poorly planned and lacks all the above-mentioned amenities. It's so cute that you thought you knew what you were talking about though!...😅 And Ybor city does indeed get packed on nights and weekends, precisely because of its entertainment options. The only other area of DT Tampa that gets busy like that is Armature works, and guess why? - It's full of dining and drinking options. You weren't aware of these realities, because I'm sure like everything else in your life, you have no idea what you're taking about...lool. Like I said though, cute try. You get credit for making me laugh; I needed a good laugh..lool..😂 Once again, Plant City and Brandon have a ton of homes available, grandpa. Get moving quick, because you might stroke out as Tampa becomes increasingly busy! Now get back to watching the Price is Right before your 8 o'clock bedtime, sweetheart... the adults are talking here...😃. You boomers are too funny...🤡🤡

Born n raised in Tampa. I've never cared for going to crowded stuff like this on a crazy hot day. I just don't like big crowds. Too many people get on my nerves. Lol Also quick question, Why do white people look so ridiculous dancing? That one couple....geez
