I loved this demo, and all in 20 min. I was skeptical of the shades of purple, but they were perfect. Amazing and brilliant work.

Michael, there's something really appealing about pieces like this. You know, the kind that you see across the room at a gallery and it's easy to see what it is, but it's just begging for you to look at it closer, and then it blows you away with its simplicity. That's skill. As you're creating it, it emerges much like a sculpture would, (I think you mentioned that once in one of your videos way back). Hmmm, an 8" x 8" with a #8. Coincidence? Yup, that's what a coincidence is.

This was really fun to watch Mike. "Will he make it, won't he make it ?" Lol. I love this approach and I'm going to give it a try this afternoon. Simplifying is key, and you have a great talent for eliminating the unnecessary, and allowing the viewer to fill in the detail. A great exercise. Thanks Mike.

Hey Michael! I'm currently working on a large commission piece of a building. Lots of geometric shape, and I'm used to working more organically with nature scenes. Would you say its imperative to use a ruler to ensure straight lines? Do you think I could apply this same technique you use on a larger scale? My style is a bit more refined than the way you paint, but I'm wondering what your thoughts are. Maybe too ambiguous of a question, but I suppose what I'm really wondering is if you apply this same blocking technique to your larger scale pieces?

-( Michael- I like that particular shade of blue for sky, like shades of that blue alot, the green shade , like it also, conveys pleasant feelings ""to me"" dont know why, into the city see the "" black predator cat, panther'head is in Silhouette 2-3 stories up on left building face,(hope you can see it), across street on opposite building see a "shadow of dove wings, " near, more near 1 story up, hints of red,( blood), hinted at. Also ,, some black "weaves "left and toward foreground of painting, up in the buildings, "" The Hunting Panther"", to me, (michael , I dont look at what you paint from, I feel, perceive what your CREATIVITY makes me see, I Loved this so much.
