Low density and lower class aren't the same thing at all ..... low density houses mean separate mansion and those kind of things, you get less people by place but people are more happy.

I was about to comment this same thing. @Draegast you probably got confused there. If you want more people in the same space, you need to put higher DENSITY residential areas (like condos and skyscrapers).

I thought the same thing, but I noticed the low density housing was more like farms, and it kind of makes sense to me. I'd assume that high density would be like rich apartments and penthouses.

Keep Calm and Build Bots high density will be large apartments. I'm pretty sure the houses upgrade over time if the city and the citizens are doing well. Kinda like upgrades in cities skylines

Drae, the unemployment rate is supposed to be low. Adding more buildings causes those businesses to become abandoned because no one is working there as they all already have jobs. Its also bad to have an unemployment rate of 0%. Also, tax the middle and upper class more, it will make the lower class happy

I'm a political/cultural (NOT POP CULTURE) news junkie. The first 5mins I was bored, then thinking if I watch anymore I'll fall asleep. But once it got to how the game plays out depending on policy decisions, whether political or economic, I FELL IN LOVE. And I do have to agree with Drae that it seems very quick and simple, and not a brain-inducing coma Civ game (although I can appreciate those games).

Drae, why would you build a 6-lane road for residential area? I'd say my take on this would be, residencies on the outer rims of the city, with some factories around on each, so they if they work there is kind of close, and then as you go to the middle you start putting the stores and middle-class neighborhoods. I'd put the 6 lane roads on the far "end" of the city (wherever you choose or 2 diff points) for heavy flow of incoming/outgoing people. People moving in, and people going on vacation maybe if that's a thing or for trading as well! Just an idea, I don't really know how it works. Where I am we don't have 6 lane roads (or bigger) lol. Also, low-class and middle-class are the two you want happy, without disregarding upper class. Low-class is the start and the essential, is all the people that are going to factories and do construction work, etc. then middle class are people like you, who work (but different kind of jobs, also more administrative, etc) and contribute in an equal amount to the market making the money cycle, and then last but not least the upper class. These guys are lazy butts and usually you can fuck them with some high taxes for their money, but you want them happy too, because with a lot of money some of them can open companies and or factories, which is also a new place for people to work in and get money. Also, I'd say don't punish informal vendors. These people are a marginal representation of the people and what they represent, and they usually earn little to nothing just to subsist. However at the same time, if they do, they might buy some stuff too which puts money back into the cycling economy and works well for everybody (also allowing them to work, even in those conditions reduces crime).

Geez... Tax from alcohol and tobacco... well here in Czech republic, tax on tobacco is around 80%, for alcohol thats a bit different, and differs from type to type, vodka around 50%, whisky around 40% ;). I'm glad I stopped smoking and keep drinking beer only :D.

Just a recomendation, i dont know of inflation is a thing, but in real economics when you lower your unemployment you generally suffer inflation and vice versa, and genrrally a healthy unemployment rate is around 3-4 percent

Drae. Try theotown because it has sandbox mode but you need debug to activate sandbox but you can costomize the size and seed of the map but its only on Android (as i know of)

low density makes you a lot of money but first you need a big low class then lower the tax to pool up a good mid class and so on so forth but you need the density in place for this to tunnel on...its an assembly line that grows and grows..the key is a big rich class to make the big buildings of industry and commercial...but industry is the way to go...and farming lots of farming lol
