Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. Love the high energy and clever production, right from the beginning - couldn't even IMAGINE local TV doing something as fun and "daring" as this today. If anything, local media continues to regress big time (i.e. CityTv now has ...an anchor desk...yikes).

I used to come home from lunch and turn this show on. The only thing missing is the roller skate girl. Jennifer, as always, is just stunning. I still remember the day when I came home from lunch and this show was gone. Not a happy day.

The “roller skate girl” was Holly Gillanders - who did appear in this particular episode…just minus the skates on this day, it looks like. She eventually became a senior executive for Corus (f.k.a. Shaw Media) - her name would appear in the end credits for some Food Network Canada-produced shows from the past decade.
