The architectural concept of Cayala is not Guatemalan but German. It was developed by León Krier, a german architect that was involved in the project.

que bonito, hay un starbucks, y los carteles estan en ingles y venden pretzels en la calle, que como todos sabemos es un manjar muy tipico de Guatemala. Eso se llama progreso!

Cayala is not a city, it is an open shopping mall. It is not urban developement, nor a community, nor a neiberhood. Please, do not mix concepts. You must need a car to go this place. And It is very expensive.
