Just to clarify: I do not hate Poland in real life. This is game is all about alternative history and is not reflected in real world issues. I don’t even understand why anyone would hate Poland in the first place because it doesn’t seem to be wrapped in many controversies these days. I said that I hated Poland in game because she was denouncing me for not having enough faith.

Haha literally just played a game where I was about to win a science victory and shaka attacked me with his big ass military. But I had about 20 nukes and a few thermos Haha. Sacrificed a few tiles of my own taking out his troops on their way in then just went ghandi on everyone when they all joined the emergency. Then just kept building more nukes once I took everyone out and nuked my own cities to fi ish the game lmao

My most memorable game of civ also involved nuking Poland lol. It was Civ5 tho. I was playing Japan and lucked out with spawning on my own little continent. Plenty of space for six cities, a lot of resources, pretty defensible shores. Life was good and we invested in developing science and culture. Our only close neighbor was Poland with only three cities on a neighboring island. But somehow they always were one step ahead in points, victory conditions and development. Only when we discovered satellites I figured out why. Poland was waging a war against half the globe, having colonies all around the world, leading and winning multiple wars at once. It was our world's only dominant superpower, and their power and prosperity was built on us being their peaceful neutral ally that bolstered their economy with safe trade routes, resource exchange and scientific collaboration. But we weren't going to play history's second fiddle to nobody. Soon enough the gulf separating our islands was filled with an armada of cruiser ships, dozens of paratrooper units were at ready and our nuclear arsenal became the biggest in the world. Poland never stood a chance. Within two turns all their domestic forces were wiped out and cities demolished to glowing rubble. Those who escaped the nuclear holocaust were quickly gunned down by a barrage of upgraded naval artillery. After that Japanese navy went from continent to continent liberating captured cities and restoring destroyed civilizations, wiping out any traces of polish occupation. With their metropoly wiped off the map and armed forced spread around the globe, the greatest power in the world crumbled into nothing in just a dozen turns.
