Congratulations on a terrific Informative presentation about Civil War Lowell. It would be interesting to hear more about the Underground Railroad in Lowell and the role of St Anne's Church. If you read my comment, I am also curious about the large painting of Robert E Lee and Ulysses Grant on the third floor of the Library / Memorial Hall. Who put it up and why is Robert E Lee so prominent in a northern city?
