I honestly think you may need to rush a settler, I understand you need to grow your capital, but that spot is amazing, lots of gold you talked about in the intro, enough happiness to allow it. The AI might snag that spot if you don't take advantage of it! I really hope you take this series far and I will be watching!

Something cool would be renaming cities to their real locations so if you build a city on the Persian Gulf call it maybe Dammam and when you capture Babylon call it Baghdad and Call Thebes Cairo etc...

Abdullah Ahmad Mecca is well known, but its more of a religious area than a city. Dammam is where a lot of the non Saudis live from what I have heard. Besides, I live in Doha which is really close to Dammam.

Get the settler first and focus on the stone(3 production) it's really important to get land because that zone is too crowded.If babylon builds a settler you will have to declare war on him and capture the settler( that's what I would do) and there is a posibility that he will destroy your caravan anyway.. Also the pantheon is really important,you have to get the desert folkore one! really important you will have a monster religion if you do that. And it will work well with special bonus of the nation! Another important thing is to rush Petra! rush it! you will be Godlike with it with that hills and oasis and the sheep! It would of been better if you took tradition so you could build hanging hardens and get a free garden,because you don't have a river/lake.. and it would of helped you with Petra.

Take out pretty quickly Egypt & Babylon because they will become beasts but be careful with their early unique units... Also, flat land incenses aren't the best tiles, but they will provide some gold to purchase mount Sinaï to get a pantheon +1 Faith for every desert tile and pick up a religion with Tithe could be huge in a world map and don't forget to rename it ''Power of Crack'' ^^ !

Iran earth 2014 is actually really easy, i have done it. You go after israel/iraq, then saudi arabia, then turkey, then india and pakistan. From there you can choose between china, europe, the african city states, or indonesia.

What civs did you leave out to get Canada and Australia in the game? It is only possible to play with 43 civs, but including Canada and Australia, you would be playing with 45 civs.

You should use the 3rd and 4th unique component mods. It's a really cool mod. Also, I suggest the historical religions mod. Just so that Poland isn't founding Sikhism and the Aztecs aren't founding Catholicism.
