My question is plinth beam is made of reinforced concrete and again we are laying concrete of m15 of thickness 4 inch as DPC on that plinth.. Does is it make any difference or we have to add waterproofing agent in dpc or before laying dpc bitumen layer we have to provide? If we only provide bitumen layer of 3mm is it enough?directly we have to brick work on that bitumen layer?... Plz reply me sir..

Damp proof course karne se vi damp lagne ka chances rahata hei agar aap ne proper sand and brick ka istemal nehi karenge to. But there is no solution to remove damp easily after completion of the building.

In Norway we drain the water around the foundation with drain water and home never get moisture, it long procedure to explain her. Best is membrane coating on the foundation instead of charcoal. Cemant tile is not waterproof.

Very informative and very nicely explained. Our house is almost 50 year old construction with brick plinth, but very good construction as my grandfather was a civil engineer. But, off late we have started seeing groundwater seepage in some walls. We have gotten it checked and there are no leakages in plumbing and drainage. Internal and external waterproofing in walls is not helping. Please provide some recommendation for our case.
