The Tonys Tackle Sea Match Channel

Жыл бұрын

Some years ago, Tony made a video with Graeme Pullen describing a rig they were calling the Whackernoster, (check out the video here # kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2LdcnSNnM2fg68)
This is an update to that video, describing how to make the rig, and how to make a Jig to make the this and other rigs

Great video and it's nice to see you sitting down for a change Chris! Bl00dy Covid eventually caught up with me last week for the first time and have been immobilised since, although bit better today. What a evil bug it is. Hope to see you up and out soon matey.

Easy to follow tutorial. I make mine by hanging them but will try a jig at some point. One thing I do slightly different is I use power gum stop knots instead of crimps, easy to adjust if needed and I also use snood clips on the swivels which makes it a doddle and quicker to change hook sizes and length of snoods

The jig would be good for those methods too.

Well done for keeping the Channel going while Tony is off topping up his tan and having his trainers re-whitened. Some good tips there and well explained. I gave up using the link clips on the lead after having snags of line hooking into the clip far too easily. I went back to oval type clips with no entry from the top.....if that makes sense. Very good film.

I tend to use the trident clips. Never had a problem with them

nice vid cj, nice idea too, my dinner table is the length of all my rig bodies, then hang them to crimp, but i could put some hooks under the top were they your birds or not, my late father had two aviaries

Hi CJ what is the purpose of the spring?
@SEAFISHINGwithCJ
@SEAFISHINGwithCJ Жыл бұрын
It means you have some positive tension on the top snood, and acts as a cushion for the cast. Ties it all together.
