Hye Sun and Jung Hyun deserves daesangs for their acting. They are so good at portraying their characters. Jung Hyun’s portrayal of the two-face king is perfect, I am amazed when I watched the behind the scenes of his fight scenes he really nailed it. I am still in awe on Shin Hye Sun, you can really see that her eyes, voice, and actions changes during shifting of souls. They are both genius actors, looking forward to their next projects. Ps. I don’t usually comment on a video, but I can’t help to admire these amazing and talented actors. (Hope to see them together in a modern drama)

I saw some comments saying that there's something between kim junghyun and hongyeon because junghyun pat her head. Junghyun always has a soft spot for hongyeon like an oppa. They are in the same agency, and it's her debut drama too so i think junghyun feels responsible to take care of her junior during filming at the set. If you guys watch their company vlog shooting for mr queen, they look more like brother and sister than a lover or whatever it implies to. While for me, junghyun and hyesun are the one who look like they have feelings for each other more. It's obvious that junghyun likes hyesun, and hyesun looks awkwardly shy. If u look closely how hyesun interaction with inwoo and other male cast compared to junghyun, u'll notice hyesun always avoid to look into junghyun's eyes when they are talking but she actually pay attention as she smile and laugh at him, while junghyun always like to stare at her. I love when the three of them together, junghyun hyesun and hongyeon. Junghyun is like a brother who ask help from her sister (hongyeon) to ask his crush (hyesun) out because they are close. If you watch junghyun's live ft hyesun, hyesun looks shy when there are just two of them, she even calls hongyeon to come over hahahahahaha. I love the tension that hyesun's having while junghyun just openly shows his interest towards her. HE EVEN ACTS CUTE IN FRONT OF HER. I hope they meet again in different project.

Shin Hye-sun and Kim Jung-hyun wow what an explosive couple to play these beautiful characters. I did not stop laughing in almost all the drama, the occurrences of the characters and what a beautiful love story... out of the ordinary it is not the same as other dramas. This couple of actors should do another drama, they made me cry with laughter and love. I loved them!!. My favorite drama, surpassed any I've seen... and I've seen so many. I love Na Jong-chan, the character he played is also beautiful. I thought he was a very good actor. Excellent.

After reading a lot of depressed comments about the ending being imperfect, I just wanted to say if the king thought things were truly wrong at the end - he would have shown a different attitude. Just look at how he was with Hwa Jin. He didn’t love her anymore but still felt obligated to care for her. He didn’t do that to the real queen. In the last scene I could still see hearts in his eyes. That sort of just proves that he had feelings for the queen even before BH came. Also BH didn’t seem like he lost the love of his life at the end. It was more like he felt enlightenment that he found a path for himself. Another thing is I think it comes down to the fact that Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun acting being too mesmerizing hence all the arguments about BH leaving. lol I think their acting overshadowed the main purpose of the drama which was to talk about personal growth especially at a time of hardness. The king, SY Queen and BH, the cousin and Hwa Jin all showed personal growth throughout the drama. The king broke out from becoming that puppet and weak king, SY queen learned that she can be herself and still achieve her dreams instead of dying. BH found a path for himself when he was lost in his fight with that evil Han guy. The cousin learned to let go of SY queen because he wanted her to be happy, but lost himself again because he believed that she was miserable and he was the only one who could overturn that. But he found himself at the end as he sacrificed himself for her happiness. Hwa Jin got swallowed by her obsession for the king’s love and lost her own identity but she realized her mistake and found herself again. Even though she couldn’t marry again as the King’s ex concubine, she still left the palace without turning back because she realized there is more to her life than just circling around the king. Lol the only one who didn’t grow in my book was the king’s brother ! Also I do have my doubts on whether or not the king really loved Hwa Jin. I think it felt more like an obligation or repayment of debt as she was by his side during his hard times. Like they never had similar values. I do believe that the king and SY queen had similar values. Sy queen was willing to go against her clan for the king. That’s a big no no for a noble woman of her status. She was not the kind of girl who just sat there and accepted what life gave her or else she wouldn’t have chosen to die. She could have just become the puppet queen that her clan wanted. She could have lied to herself on how maybe she can change things once she holds the position of queen like Hwa Jin originally lied to herself as she believed she was the only one for the king but she didn’t. All of them went on the path of personal growth during the most difficult and dark times of their lives and they all chose to do the right thing even if it was not to their best benefit. Edit: I just saw the special episode and wanted to add it just proved that the king had feelings for the queen before BH arrived. Also you saw glimpses of So Yong always being there when So bong queen kept smacking her heart when she was in the library with the king. She kept saying the kiss felt right and kept questioning it. I don’t think that’s Bong Hwan but So Yong acting up. But then again I think the special episode brought out the fact that a mixture is the best combo for our queen and not the only Bong Hwan party or only So Yong party because it’s always been the both of them together, but if the ending was their combo stayed intact, that wouldn’t have shown any personal growth. A lot of people said Bong Hwan was being used and thrown away but he learned a lot by living So Yong’s life. He/she use to only look at girls looks, including Hong Yeon, but he/she ended up loving her just like family. He/she also learned that even if you believe something will fail and not succeed, it’s still worth trying it. And of course So Yong learned just as much. If things didn’t return to normal then no personal growth would have been shown and this drama is just one of those many comedic love story in k drama land. I don’t think the drama production team and actors was just purely aiming at a funny and touching love story. There’s a bigger message to bring out, especially in a time of hardship. When the gang was watching the meteor shower, the king said even if you think the world is ending, it’s still standing right now. That reminded me of the current situation the world is in right now. I know there’s a lot of comparison to the Chinese version and I admire the message it had as “it doesn’t matter what gender you are, love is just purely love,” but that wasn’t the focus of the kdrama. On the other hand the cdrama version didn’t do any deep showing of personal growth and just leaned towards more of making everything funny. Each are both different in its unique way and I wouldn’t compare. I admire the cdrama message but didn’t like the lack of character development and depth. But I get there are fans who love that one. I’m content with this kdrama version as I appreciate the touching love story along with deep character developments. Also in the special episode the writer did leave an opening for maybe BH is the reincarnation of the queen, you never know. But I did feel a big BUG that was really bothering after seeing the special episode was, Kim Hwan met the king and queen in the palace, how could not know it was them in the regular drama ? It was obvious he saw the king and queen’s face. He can’t be that stupid where he didn’t recognize them because of their clothes ? Also why did I get the feeling when Queen Sobong was saying Bh was the man she cherished the most, part of the real queen was saying that too. Lol it didn’t purely just feel like So Bong queen was showing off, more like part of the real queen talking also as BH is also someone important to her LOL. Also after reading the lyrics to my favorite ost of the drama “Here I am,” I have a different interpretation. Here I am can mean that The queen and king are always there for each other, but also So Yong was always there waiting for the king. And also it can be a song for Byeong In because he was always there for So Yong. Even at his last breath, he said even though he always looked at her, he never realized there was always a different side to her. It could also mean they found themselves. Here I am can also mean that they find their own true selves. I shouldn’t hold onto the details that much LOL

I AGREE!!!! SY was inside the body all along and it was SY who takes over when they drink alcohol. The one who shows the utmost care for the King is SY although BH also cared for the King but it is like how he cared for Man Bok (giving him the recipe when Man Bok's life was threatened by the Grand Queen Dowager). Bong Hwan even said that he has a soft spot for pitiful guys. Haha There. That's it. It has always been So Yong x Cheoljong. Plus, Bong Hwan always wanted to come back and he was perfectly happy in Episode 20 and his wish was granted (if y'all watched Mr. Queen: The Secret Episode 2).

Also, on EP20, when SY fixed the King's robe and both Special Director and the Prince looked meaningfully towards this action (which they never did when BH was with the King) was a subtle way of telling the viewers that it is SY that the King needs now. BH was there to overcome the struggle, SY is needed to sustain the stability after the throne has been freed from the corrupt officials. BH and SY both played necessary roles in the King's success.
