@@cjexplores The shark attacks here have been on surfers and divers, I don’t think anyone has been taken swimming in close, the shark that I had an encounter with was as big as the kayak I was in, it was that close I could have reached out and touched it,it wasn’t aggressive at all just came to check me out as I had just caught a fish, I was in about 6 meters of water.

How did I miss this until now? Esperance is beautiful, the beaches are special, the sharks enormous. Thank you, and, your vision and editing skills are sensational! What a shame you didn't have time to take a short flight out to view Lake Hillier on Middle Island. That IS a once in a lifetime experience, truly memorable. Ah well, there's always Google photos.....
@cjexplores2 жыл бұрын
🤣 glad you found this one Trevor! Esperance is a wonderful place! We didn't know that flying over Lake Hillier was an option 😳 it looks amazing, maybe for anyone planning their trip that could be an option. We stayed at the Pink Lake Tourist Park so there is a Pink Lake on the mainland too... it didn't seem as vibrant as Hutt Lagoon though. I guess it depends on weather and time of year for bacteria makeup of the lake

@@cjexplores I love your colours and panorama, great skills, great story telling, they match my memories precisely! The white sand and water clarity there is exceptional. So is the Antarctic breeze that can travel 6,250km from the South Pole just to cut right through you! However, in summer it is magnificent, but it reminds me it is time for me to chase the sun, maybe Exmouth, perhaps Broome? I love the Kimberley wilderness region. To get the vivid lake pinks you need to be viewing close to midday, and be well above, so if you know anyone with drone skills.....? The lake near town has been decreasing in colour for a few years now. You shot some beaches in this I haven't seen before, they are magnificent, and we ran out of time to make that steep climb to a terrific view, so THANK YOU, and well done you! All the best.

@@Quinctili you’re too kind!! We share the effort on this, I do the video editing and Charlotte does the final colour grade. Charlotte also keeps our Instagram page looking fabulous with her colour skills. Water clarity is amazing there, and yes that southerly can separate the men from the boys 🤣 We loved Exmouth, a lot of travellers head up there for the winter season. It would be lovely up there now I reckon 🤔 Kimberley is amazing too, like being in an entirely different country!

There are no rivers feeding into the ocean in Esperance so the water is super blue and clear.

It would be quite cold there at that time of year. More of a summer destination in our opinion. You would be there without the summer holidaymakers however so if that's important to you, go for it!!
