Blame the victim? She wasn't a victim. Wtf? That's the whole bloody point. Innit?

I'm a bit taken aback by the CJS authors saying no fault was with Jackie when Jackie made up a fictional character, "Haven Moynahan", used a fake email address/text message service/and high school picture of a boy to catfish her friends in order to make a boy jealous. When that didn't work, she made up the gang rape story. How is Jackie not at fault again? And how is she not expelled from school?

Koba1t Also, not only does Haven Moynahan not exist (or ever existed) as a student at UVA, journalists couldn't find someone who existed under that name in the ENTIRE united states!

They never said that there was no fault with Jackie.

"We are not in a position to answer it" "We dont have enough information to answer it" "Its not our duty to decide that" These answers were repeated so many times. CJS authors could have simply said Rolling Stone relied on one source and didnt do fact checking and concluded the press meet. Could have saved everyones time.

You have to appreciate the irony. Throughout, there's complete indifference to how the false allegation against several fraternity members and the fraternity itself was negatively affected. Complete indifference to the real culture of guilt before innocence standards imposed by feminists. We all know what happens to the reputations of young men and men in general accused of rapes they never committed. They say things like, "because of the UVA rape hoax other women will be less inclined to come forward. Why? There's virtually no consequence or meaningful accountability for those who make false rape accusations. When one person and one reporter connived to ruin the credibility and reputations of UVA, the fraternity and the men accused, NOT A SINGLE FEMINIST or university FEMALE (other than the friends who knew Jackie was full of BS.) doubted the story. Without exception, they believed the men accused was guilty and marched and protested and conducted an unapologetic witch hunt. This whole Rolling Stone Erderly thing was like watching an update of the movie "Absence of Malice."

Panel of two very nervous and guarded with rigid, rehearsed and evasive, brief responses. RS too cowardly to face the music. Jackie is a liar still being lauded, while lives on innocent young men forever ruined. What a waste of time this was!
