I had a note 9 and was so upset when they discontinued the model. I knew this was the replacement but wanted to wait. Since my S22 just broke I'm gonna get it repaired with insurance, but thinking of just using it as content phone and the fold as my main phone.

Foldables have completely ruined my ability to use a regular smartphone ever again. I have the pixel 9 pro fold and the OnePlus open. Using a foldable really just depends upon your lifestyle. If you're someone like me who is always using their device for everything from consuming many KZbin videos on the big screen, listening to many podcast, using multiple social media apps then a foldable would be a great option. Also, until I started using split screens to do multiple tasks, I did not realize how much versatility that gave me and he how much easier it made doing certain things.

I switched to Z fold 6 a week ago! NEVER going back!!! The phone is amazing. It’s unreal. RCS chat with google messages is top tier. I can’t believe I was brainwashed with iMessage and FaceTime. Life 360 and google chat via video is just amazing. "Find my," cannot compete with life 360. I still have my iPad Pro. I might keep it and get the tab S9 ultra. Not sure if I prefer the newer iPad Pro so S9 ultra. Btw I did get my phone from Samsungs website. The sale they have and offered trade in value is ridiculous. I got a 1TB Z fold 6 for 1200$. I got 900$ for iPhone 14 PM and 250$ off for choosing one of the main three colors offered by wireless carriers.

The one thing that holds me back from the Z-Fold 6 is the camera, and to a lesser extent, the dust-resistance. If they get the cameras on par with the S23U/S24U, I'd give this a shot. The person who can develop an app that allows an esim swap between iPhone and/or Android phone and charge 5$ for it, is gonna get rich cause there are lots of folks who play both sides of the "fence".

I honestly kept my iPhone 14 ProMax so the family doesn't spaz out about green messages. My iPhone is my person phone but I love the Samsung/Google ecosystem for business. The convenience of my FOld 6 for attending lunch meetings and jotting quick notes in amazing. The synchronization between my phone, S9 Ultra and Samsung 16" Book Edge is absolutely the same as Apple ecosystem integration.

Made the switch from iPhone to pixel to OnePlus open, to be honest I miss all of them, every phone had its features and strong points that I miss after changing but I have to say the big screen on the foldable phones are something else, it feels like I have been seeing half a screen my entire life, everything is full screen now, news, photos, websites, apps, games, everything is more relaxed more readable more usable, I would advise everyone who can try a foldable to give it a shot if you get a good deal on it as the prices are insane for a phone.

You know what you are getting with Apple as a consumer. If you want features then you go to Samsung. If you want the best AI & photos then you go to Google. From a zfold 3 pre order customer to someone that got a zfold 6 only due to me breaking the back glass and external display due to shall we say extra rough use, i have always been impressed with the samsung foldables I will be honest I am a long time samsung user also, but use iphonest as work phones and have since the iphone 11 pro series. Fold six is phenomenal. The only thing I could complain about is the removal of the fingerprint sensor gestures, but that was done on the fold fives. These phones are expensive and not for everyone but for those willing to pay the entry fee you get a luxury device that does last the time samsung will support updates (my fold three was and still does recive the current updates) and the fold six for example will habe atleast 7 years of software updates with 1tb of storage... i will not and do not have to update for at least a decade unless I break it loose it or and really wowed by a new device released. They are fully worth it whether you're getting the newest foldable or not. And as for the build quality dust resistance doesnt mean shit on a device like this its build quality is premium and durable you will not break this unless you break every other phone ypu habe (aslon as you are awear the internal screen can be punctured and your not stupid with it) common sense will keep this device alive (my fold three internal screen is still mint even though the back and front of the external was cracked)

I just traded my z fold 6 in for an iphone. Of course, I regretted it- and had to go through hoops to exchange it back for my fold 6. The iPhone was just so.... simple? Not necessarily a bad thing, but it felt like there was very little there for how much it costs. Also, the Fold feels way faster. It might be due to animations, but the fold felt like it was always loading stuff faster. In the end, I kept the fold. The battery life on the iPhone was absolutely ABSURD though

Honestly, my 20yr old daughter uses Whatsapp on her iPhone 15 more than iMessage, we're in Texas too. My son's use is mostly discord with his buddies while on iPhone 15. My wife WILL NOT! Relent in her iMessage use in her 15Pro. I'm just kickin' back with my 24 Ultra waiting for them to update tomorrow to iOS 18 just so they'll get RCS in iMessage, but it doesn't seem to really matter, they mostly use other communication apps. Anyways, im thinking about trading in my 15PM for a Samsung fold 6 next year.

I got a z fold 5 and waiting on my 16 pro max to replace my current iPhone. Honestly I feel like galaxy phones got fun features, but iPhone is reliable for what it does right like face recognition, smoothness with apps, copying codes and stuff when they come from text. It’s the simple things you’ll see convenient with iPhone you don’t get with Samsung. At least that’s my experience. Apps like twitter got a slight delay when posting and you can’t swipe back like iPhone. You gotta do it from the edge of the screen. Not a big deal, but again that’s the things you’ll notice. I love my z fold though. It’s like having a tablet on hand. I don’t like how i miss so many messages on the z fold. iPhone shows notifications on the screen when locked. Z fold stays dark. You gotta go check for them. Enough of my rambling. Hope this helps.

i just got the z fold 6 and absolutely if apple was smart they should abandon the mini line and make a fold series no ? like i never used another phone beside apple and using the z fold 6 for month like i couldnt ask for nothing more expect samsung should make it wider and the box feeling with the navy color it beautiful. and samsung got deals and discount i chose navy because it was $500 off as well lol and $400 off without a trade in and they got program for education , military , heathcare workers too. I dont like how maps dont work on the lock screen and the little things apple has. Im not a big camera video person so that okay for me as long as it works. But i dont see myself going back to apple unless its a fold series, fuck a fllp phone too.

man you nailed all the points that prevent me from leaving apple to Samsung. the only one I would add would be the ability to quickly copy and paste from the apple products. It's so convenient to copy on my iPhone and paste on my iPad or MacBook. And iCloud storage especially if you have family storage package

Been using my Iphone for 9 years now and switched to the zfold last week, I have to say I love it. I however switched back to my Iphone because I feel locked in at this point. I have my apple watch and honestly if it weren't for that I would probably switch, but I am paying for these devices monthly right now and it makes no financial sense to add a android watch on top of what I'm paying for the apple watch. The apple watch would literally be useless without the iPhone. The only thing that would allow me to not be locked into apple is having a lot more money to use on these devices. It's unfortunate too because I actually really enjoy the foldable tech from my limited experience I had with the Zfold last week. (I returned the phone to switch to my iPhone 14 pro max). At this point I may as well wait for Apple to release a foldable if that ever happens.

​@PleaseDontDoThis maybe if they get Apple themes like Google themes. I switched from using apple for 10 years and you can change your whole phone with a simple click instead of everything manually. The different choices for the keyboard sounds. Etc I love my s24 ultra. I had a 15 pro max

I switched from Apple ( iPhone 13 Pro Max ), didn't want to purchase the same phone again. Now I have the Z Fold 5, you couldn't pay me to go back to Apple ever again.
