Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements (PAA) has 2 different vegan bases available for purchase, CK1 and CK6. This video shows their premium base, CK6. CK6 has a wide variety of butters that can produce a lather that is extremely dense and provides incredible residual slickness and post shave. CK6 is in my current Top 3 of all bases I have tried from all artisans. This says a lot about this product. Enjoy!

I don't know what it is about it, but PAA (CK1 & CK6) and Murphy and McNeil soaps always provide me that "stringy" appearance during the initial lathering and for some reason I find it absolutely satisfying. ✌😄 PAA makes some great soaps for sure!

great lather. i usually buy the CK1 to save some money. i use around 1/4 teaspoon and PAA can take some water. i get a creamy lather more than enough for 3 pass shave.

That’s a lot of soap! I usually just load my brush from the puck and then bowl lather. Provides me with more than enough soap and makes the puck last longer than scooping

how long do you let the puck dry out for? I've been wanting to try this but worried that I may ruin the puck if it is wet constantly. any issues?

@@19Stifler91 So I have actually changed my methods. I brush lather any harder (typically tallow) soaps. My softer soaps I’ve been scooping. With CK6 a little goes a long way

@@flynn6306 thanks for the input scott! i'll keep scooping CK6 knowning that it should last a long time regardless. Do you know how much you use per shave by chance? I've been doing about a tea spoon...

Thanks. This is why CK6 is so good. It can be dialed in to any consistency to what anyone wants. Not all soap bases can do that.
