This movie most closely recreates the specific mania of trying to find Power rangers toys in 1993-94. I worked retail both those Christmases, and there was a constant, year round rush for anything and everything Power Rangers. It was just that much worse as it got closer to Christmas. This is why Turboman and his TV show resemble the look and feel of the Rangers.

As I'm getting older it's harder and harder for it to feel like Christmas to me. So I suck the marrow out of the bones of these Christmas movies all month. I even rewatched the (1984? 1985?) Santa Claus the Movie. Even with its blatant Coke and McDonald's product placement. lol Jingle All The Way is really fun but I had no idea there was another cut! I'll have to check it out!
