2NE1 was the face of girl groups in YG Entertainment considering BlackPink has only been the 2nd girl group in YG history. But since 2009 2NE1 still stands as probably the most known girl group in the world since they were also the first group to have a worldwide tour! CL used to be part of one of the biggest kpop girl group in Korea called 2NE1. But they already disbanded last year. She's also from the same company with BLACKPINK which is YG Entertainment. Even if 2NE1 already disbanded, CL and also one of 2NE1 members DARA are still part of YG because they renewed their contract with them also, CL and Dara are stockholders of YG alongside with BIGBANG members so I guess they can't leave the company 😊
