I think a big difference is since they were called the “ugly” group they didn’t need to keep up a cute act so they could unleash their full fierceness. They could be playful with their stage presence. Because of this there will never be another group like 2NE1 again. There’s only cool concept or beauty concept etc... not fun concept.

Exactly! I was looking at their other videos and noticed how Minzy is packaged just as well as CL is. She raps, great voice, style and the charisma is amazing.
