More 4th gen groups are doing so. Several idols from all gens does their own music and concept esp when their companies let them. E.g. ACE, Dreamcatcher, ATEEZ, Cravity, Alexa, etc. They participate in making music, concepts, and choreo. A lot of them probably look up to CL and her generation of artists.
