Great video but the cla 76 is modelled after the 1176 compressor which has the attack and release knobs inverted which essentially means 7 is the fastest attack/release time and 1 is the slowest attack and release

True but slow attack is also too much quicker becoz it is aggressive compressor so attack knob around 2 or 3 is good starting point to preserve transient

Sir, Namaskar, I am calling from Swarchaitanya Recording Studio Chinchwad Pune I am facing one problem with talk back function while interacting with the singer in the recording room. While Recording if I want to speak to the singer my voice is also recorded in the song, I am using behringer UMC 202 HD interface along with 10 channel signeture mixer. How can I instruct to the singer inside the Recording room from outside without interfering the Recording?

I feel you have set slow attack and fast release on the drums. As far as I know 1176 attack & release knobs have their values set opposite to traditional compressors. 1 is slow attack/release, 7 is fast attack/release.

cla 76 ka attack/release knobs ko jitna left (aapke) ghumaoge utna fast response hoga, aur jitna right (aapke) karoge utna slow response karega... fast attack se drum transients kat janeka chances hota hain... aur zaada slow release karne se thin sound ta chakkar ho sakta hain.

Is it important to apply the Noise reduction process after recording vocals? I mean there isn't much noise audible but still might be there, so I always apply a noise reduction in Adobe Audition. Does it hamper the Audio quality? Also, What are the steps that we can follow in every vocal processing method. What I generally do is I use Fabfilter EQ for high pass and low pass frequencies, add some reverb in vocals and some time I add one more layer of the same track but with very less volume to give it a bass and warm sound and then mix everything. But It doesn't sound very professional and loud? When I try to make it louder it starts clipping? I have watched your videos on compression and EQ and recently added compression thing to my mixing but I feel like I am missing out on something.

Yes, noise reduction is important but in the right way in order to avoid any quality loss. Secondly, never duplicate and place a layer below the original one to add warmth. You have plenty of plugins that’ll do the trick. Cheers!
