I have a 2013 Cla 45 in mountaingrey metallic .People keep asking/commenting about that car alot and when i tell them how much i paid most people dont believe it. Got it with 35k km now its at 90k km Never had Problems with it except the left front Proximity sensor likes to go off when its raining alot.

what kind of review is this you are comparing old cla 45 amg stock car with new cla 45 amg s that too loaded with downpipe full system exhaust with a custom tune and you are saying its quick,i mean a true comparison would be when you will tune up that old black cla 45 to stage 1 with aftermarket air filter custom exhaust or maybe a stage 2 tune then this comparison will be on its mark you do that and drive both cars go for ipe exhaust or army trix you will see how old cla will roar with loud bangs...

comparing a old cla 45 stock vs new cla 45 s that to too tuned plus with upgraded downpipe still old cla stock did 5 and new cla s version tuned did 4.57 I'd say old one is doing better job still being a stock do a stage 1 tune install a downpipe in old cla 45 then this comparison will do justice.

I second your recommendation! I was fortunate enough to have owned both the pre-facelift and the facelift A45 AMG, and recently upgraded to the A45s and the latest iteration, as you say, is much more powerful than the previous ones. The A45s is a different beast ‘coz driving it in “Comfort” mode is like driving the facelift A45 in “Sports” mode, so I don’t feel the need to switch to “sports” mode anymore. I also find the A45s to be much more refined than the previous gen with better quality damping. The pre-facelift version was fun but it had the habit of being a bit hesitant when driving off, which was resolved in the facelift version. I can’t wait to run-in the A45s to test some of it’s capabilities.

jayagong you are comparing your stock old cla with your new s version this new one is already with increased power from factory,obviously it will be quick that is why when you tune the old version it goes beyond 400+ bhp mark easily upto 430 440 to be precise...then you should see the difference of comfort mode in old one im sure it will compete very closely with the new one...in Malaysia there is a guy named mike yep who owns a garage and dna tuning performance he does some crazy upgrades to old ones a hybrid turbo upgarde air filter suspension and a custom tune after that old cla behave like a completely different beast i have seen some of his videos on cla 45 amg upagrades shifting top end crackles all changes sorry for my english im little careless while writing english..

I LOVE this model Merc. Its my next car, as I currently have a supercharged SLK R171. Thats quick and a classic roadster as well. But these pocket rockets are super quick and a definite touch of class too (damn quicker than my SLK by around 1.5 secs on the 0-60, with a very modest sized engine under the hood as well). I'm writing to Santa, straight after this!

In Poland A/CLAs used to have not a best reputation of barber's ride. This is of course coming from BMW and Audi funboys. This made them pretty affordable and now the price difference between healthy CLA45 and slightly used A45s is huge. Even double. This schanges the situation. A45s is super-capable car but considering price of used predecesor is actually even better bang for buck. Both are very good but naturally A45s is a bit more mature and faster tthan old A/CLA. From another hand lifted CLA45 Shooting Brake is the prettiest incarnation of all of them. BTW - you have pre-lift CLA45 in comparison with weaker engine and way less responsive tranny. Still A45s is significantly better but as used one CLA45 is decent.

Bro you can’t compare a new tunes 45s to a stock 45.. the new ones can get to 500+hp on just a stage 1 tune without any hardware upgrades, no intake or anything that this one has. The old ones can be tuned 425+ off just a stage 1 tuned as well and are currently way better value. For $125,000 you can buy a 2018+ E63s lol

Jon these comparisons are bloody sick mate keep em coming. Love me a good merc but as a bogan I just couldn't see myself in one even if I won the lotto. Never underestimate a 4 banger with a snail on the side! I had one that could spin the wheels in 5th gear rolling at over 100kph was pure bonkers haha. I still have that motor n box sitting in the back yard I might just have to fit it to a datto or Rolla and get that little motor back on the road #CA18 the world

It's great to make a video to compare the two, but asking the question "which one should you buy" is kind of redundant. Even without a video the answer is simple, if you have the money for the new one, buy that. If you don't, buy the previous one. The new one is simply better in every way (apart from the exhaust sound). But it's also twice as expensive. But I understand it's fun to make a video comparing the two.

5 seconds launch control? My 2017 pre FL ( NO MODS ) did 4:58 and I couldn't get it right every time. Plus you used 2% more of a slope on the new one. Sorry, but you lost me completely when you slyly mentioned all the mods on the new CLA.
