A little disappointing they don’t understand his behaviors are classic abuses of someone with narcissistic personality disorder. Or maybe they do but they decided promos shouldn’t specify it? Victims of NPD will be triggered by the show’s content so they prob should mention it. If only “relaxing” cured NPD, the world would be a much safer and better place.

are these cast actually trying to justify John Paul's behaviour as if what he did to his wife, his daughter, the sisters, that neighbor and very single person he came in contact with was because he felt "theatened"? what is this, they make a whole series about marital abuse and just sociopathic behaviour and they want to cool it in the promo? and what is the actor who played JP even saying? i dont get why they are trying to understand and justify his actions. they are not professionals and its not even like JP was normal before, he drowned Frogs in Milk, so someone "who doesnt feel secure within himself"' decides to kill frogs and what he did to that kitten, god. everything they're saying is weird. JP was not a complex character, like at all, he was just plain evil. and i think theyre trying to make him seem like a complex character now(because everyone is an anti-hero now, and all gray characters, thats great if that is what u want to do but they werent) but that is just baseless, they shouldve written a complex, nuanced character whose actions actually had some real,solid, sympathisable reason to it rather than just doing bad things for the sake of it, if they wanted us to get why he did the things he did. also JP's actor doesnt seem to realize how bad and twisted his character is, he seems to think JP was this deep, troubled guy who didnt actually know what he was doing when he clearly did. he was talking about how they couldve had a "lovely" marriage if "they could do this and this and this" "this couldve been good if he would just relax"? (wtf) no honey they couldnt. what jp does isnt unknown to him, he plans his every word and he knows their effect. he says and does little but effectively. he is the problem, not his actions. sorry for dumping this on here but im just really weirded out by this

No, I don't think so. He's saying that's how the character thinks of himself. Claes said "he [John Paul] feels..." and says what he feels isn't real.

No he’s explaining how he had alto approach it as an actor- you need to understand who you’re portraying even if it’s alien to you, even if it’s repulsive to you, because you have to pretend to be that person…and they way he describes this way JP feels threatened by all this stuff that’s not even going on?… that is accurate to these kinds of people- exactly what Trump and the GOP are like- turn their insecurities and fear that something will be taken away from them if other people are allowed things, turn it into hatred, manipulation, cheating lying bullying…. Abusers in relationships are very insecure people, very pathetic people behind their intimidating behaviour and their violence…he’s not justifying JPs behaviour, he just needs an “in” to play the character…
