A lot of people only focus on Claire and Jamie on these types of videos, so it’s refreshing to see those who shape her character in different ways.

Irish actress Caitríona Balfe is perfect as Claire! She is wonderful, charming and talented! I had never heard of Outlander, until September 2023. Since then, after watching all seasons of this epic TV show, I am sure that this magnificent actress is the soul of this excellent production. This lady shines brightly as Claire alongside actors like Tobias Menzies, Sam Heughan (the perfect Jamie), Gary Lewis, Garret McTavish and a great cast. God bless you, Mrs. Caitríona Balfe! Claire did use people’s idea of her being a witch to her advantage on several occasions. She cursed Jack with the knowledge of his death which I’m sure ate at him a bit, being La Dame Blanche kept her from being assaulted and helped get Jamie out of the Bastille and a British pardon, being a White Lady kept her safe at Lovett’s castle when they were trying to get men for Prince Charles, and being a conjure woman helped keep her from being slashed or stabbed with the Lionell’s men for a while since many of them were afraid to draw her blood. Claire actually is a special kind of witch, she a traveler who can go through time and sense things through time and is someone who can see ghosts and spirits.

Caitriona is oddly one of the few people who look OLDER w no makeup on. As a model and in interviews she looks younger when done up. There are so many scenes where she not only looks older than Jamie, as she’s supposed to, but older than herself. Jamie even comments in an interview, that he gives her a hard time by telling her “ He was surprised how the screen makes her look so much more …”mature”. I know her character is older than Jamie’s, but they don’t TRY to make her LOOK older. They stick to the historical accuracy and practicality by using the ABSENCE of make up. They don’t attempt to use makeup or grey hair until CONSIDERABLY later in the series. Even then, Claire rocks only a bad a$$ grey stripe any woman wouldn’t dare to cover these days! Not a wrinkle bag or age spot. Jamie wears glasses. 😂 For those 2, beauty is anything but fleeting. In fact, Jamie is as ripped as a 30 yr old leaving the gym. Claire has soft curves, but they’re anything but saggy. I can’t put my finger on what makes Claire look so much more mature than Jamie. I’m NOT SAYING SHE EVEN LOOKS OLD AT ALL! Hell no!!! I’m saying she just looks Older than Jamie. And only on outlander when they remove her makeup. 😂 In real life… they’re the exact same age. I just can’t put my finger on it? I’m not being hypercritical at all! She’s hands down one of the most lovely natural beauties in Hollywood! Not to mention she’s in her 40s!! At first I thought I was on crack … until Sam made the same comment in that interview. So it’s not just me. Maybe the camera puts on 10lbs AND 10 yrs? 🤷‍♀️

Her acting is impeccable. In the show they use little makeup to age her because her performance is what sells older Claire. If one looks at her change from S1 to S7 it's amazing to see her transformation. In RL she looks nothing like her on screen character, yet she's stunning, one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. To say that she looks older than her age is ridiculous. In fact, she looks way younger than 43. Unlike her, Sam hasn't managed to portray an older Jamie well. His younger version was fine but now he's stiff, rather cold, impassioned and uninteresting. He also looks his age.
