MTB is Southern Rock with a more country music vibe. Their "Can't You See" is another song with a flute, and my personal favorite. Doug Gray was the lead singer on this, but Toy Caldwell would rotate singing lead. It's when you hear a flute like this or something like Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, you can't help but play air-flute. LOL

Toy sang lead on "Can't You See" - which he wrote about his fellow Marines in Vietnam getting "Dear John" letters. Toy Caldwell USMC 1966-69, Vietnam 1968-69 - wounded in combat and returned to finish his tour even though he was offered a discharge.

I like this song. I am not much of a country music fan but this is cool. I do like southern rock. Like Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Charlie Daniels, Allman Brothers, Credence Clearwater Revival. I saw that they are also putting a lot of my favorites in this genre which I wouldn't have but ok. Doobie Brothers, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Canned Heat. I would say Willie Nelson crosses the line from country to pop or rock. Heck, even Johnny Cash crossed onto the charts when I was listening to the radio in the 60's and 70's. Would Seals & Croft be called southern rock? It is soft and just nice. As for flutes, boy I don't know.

My brother got to be onstage for these guys during one of their concerts. He said they were all top notch guys. Great musicians, multi talented.

There's a nifty flute solo in MTB Fire on the Mountain, pairs well with the steel guitar in that song.

It’s not country music. It’s called Southern Rock, a genre created by the Allman Brothers Band in the 60’s, along with Lynard Skynard, Charlie Daniels, etc.

It doesn't look like you have reacted to Hocus Pocus by Focus. Interesting flute bit in that one.
