The second batch is amazing! You could maybe put the first batch on the backing tape and fill the hollow insides with UV resin and glitter. It might be fun effect.

The second method most definitely worked better, they're all wonderful, but I agree that the chunky 70s and 80s shapes aren't the best shapes/sizes (I hated that look back then too lol). Love ya Claire, take care of yourself, may you have a speedy recovery!

Oh Claire, wow! Thank you so so much for using my glitters and for the shout out! I'm so grateful and I'm thrilled that you love them 😊 It's such a shame that the first ones didn’t work (maybe brushing ultra-fine onto some areas of the moulds first might work 🤔) but wow oh wow, with the uv first 😍 I love them!! I confess I was giggling at the mess with the tweezers 😅 I have a tip I'll share with you, instead of tweezers - I think you'll love me for it as there's zero mess involved and you can easily get what you don't use back into your packet 😁 I'll message you when you've had some time to recover 💕 and if you find it works for you as it does for me then I'm happy for you to share the tip 😊 Just a note about my glitters, I'm so with you on being careful with the clean up - my glitters are made from recyclable plastics but they are not biodegradable so they definitely shouldn't be going down any drains. Very informative video. The green really looks yellow to me from the front side. I would like to suggest you get some pipettes for topping off your molds. By using them myself I can tell you that it will save you tons of clean work. I know you need to hurry but as long as you have them close by it won't add much time to filling the molds. I agree the glitter is Gorgeous 😍 and the UV resin is exactly what it needed.

Lovely, if you rub over your silicone mould with a dryer sheet the static will be much less, I do this when using glitter and it has made it more manageable for me x

WOW! The second batch came out STUNNING ♥The whole aesthetic of them, the random burst of color and light. I feel you on the first batch, it's just something... what glitter the polyurethane did pick up seemed to have the light/sparkle drained from it. The blue background and purple bursts puts me in mind of a spray of flowers. Thanks

I'd use black maybe for the square molds. Then put them on some resin tape, uv resin with some cogs.

Take your time and heal. I love the second set you did. I used the LR Polyurethane Resin yesterday for the first time. I brushed ultra fine holographic glitter onto the mold for some and I brushed deep red mica powder onto the mold. The only one that didn't work for me was using alcohol ink drops directly on the mold (which was a holographic rose mold).

Using tweezers, they make little scoop spoon to make that job easier you know. And eye droppers.

One method of dealing with the static is to mix it into resin. For the P.U. resin, because it cures so quickly, mix it into part B, along with any color you're planning on using, then add part A at the last minute. I have combined epoxy and P.U. resin, with very interesting results. When you pour P.U. on top of epoxy, depending on the amount of epoxy to P.U. resin, the epoxy will cure with the P.U. resin, because it cures at such a high temperature.

If you can find a P.U. resin that cures clear, the one I use in the U.S. is called Color Pro, but I don't know what is available out there. After all, the glitter will work so much better in a clear product 🙂

Hi Claire. Have just ordered some of the polyurethane resin from mbfibreglass but just wanted to ask if you knew whether a thin layer of clear epoxy resin can be used on top of the polyurethane. want to use it to make napkin art coasters so the base needs to be white hence the poly resin but would need to put a clear layer on top. thank you

The second batch look stunning Claire. Does the polyurethane resin stay adhered to the UV resin? I was worried it wouldn't adhere properly given the fact it cures so quickly.

Unfortunately we in Australia cannot get any products from Let’s Resin. It’s very disappointing as a KZbin artist in Australia has obviously been sent some, and I liked her videos, but when I try to click the link, it takes me to the site, and I went through the whole ordering ordeal, until when it comes to shipping, the only option is USA! What a frustrating end to a time consuming event!! Not happy!
