yeah, i do play pretty easy reeds...i see no point in playing hard ones. but oh well. It was still cool to find a random piper in the audience, especially a young one!

Well performed, rythmically correct, nicely in tune, nea bad...

The tune was written by Mary-Anne McKinnon. This is a much better version than the last ClanPipers' version I saw/heard on KZbin. But I'm still worried about the rhythmic accompaniment! Why not keep it to side, tenor and bass and leave out the crap that brings visions of a banana-boat to mind and not a steam-train? - equally, that medium of transport should be on its way "...to Mallaig" and NOT "Tobago"!

I have to agree with simplythebescht.. they should have kept the weird percussion out.

The addition of non-traditional percussion added to the tune. Thinking outside of the box is hard for pipe purest or like I refer to as Band Nazis with a my way or the highway attitude. You lose a lot of good people.

@simplythebescht you really don't really know anything about either scottish or caribbean music do you?

Sorry, but the African bongo mixed together with this glorious tune has the same effect as unions on ice cream. It is overbearing and distractive as I try to key in on the precision of these pipers and their finger work. There are traditional proper drums for a good reason. Nice work pipers.
