My gaming friends are super excited for this game! I really like the humorous cards, thank you for pointing that out because I think that's what sold me on it :-) The original Clank has worked so well for me as a gateway game with other people and now my friends can get a different version, so cool!

Howdy, I haven't been keeping up with your videos half as well as I wish I had, which undoubtedly means in a month or so when life gets manageable I'll realize how many cool Kickstarters I missed... I love that the board is modular. That was something missing in the original, but it doesn't look as good. The castle looked more interesting this look dry. Now I just wish there was a Clank 2.0 😀

Rahdo - do you think that the more varied movement options makes it harder to gauge what the other players are doing? Does it add complexity, meaning maybe more AP, as players try to figure out their options as well as predict the other player's options?

the teleporters do make it harder to anticipate what your opponents have in mind, but not everyone will buy the teleporter pass as keys are still pretty crucial

Randy Anderson - actually, the IB is from Babylon 5 (had to look it up), but supposedly "The Collector" is Rygel (haven't seen the card yet :( ) But, I wouldn't have looked for any awesome Farscape reference if you hadn't mentioned it!

Looks interesting. I was interested in Clank but I thought I already had enough deck builders in my collection. Hero Realms, Marvel Legendary and my favorite Aeon's End. Anxiously awaiting War of Eternal.

Allready sold my 'old' Clank :D Can't wait for this to come out. Better theme, better pacing, a lot of humor and references. All the negative trolls can stick my foot up their clank, this reveal was awesome!

i imagine they will in time. for this, the new faction system for the cards means that this couldn't work as an expansion and had to be a new game.

I'm hoping they'll release an expansion deck that you can swap out with factions for the regular Clank! - that would be an instant buy for me - but I am definitely not sold on this one as a separate game.

Well Richard you are right,(as almost always:D) this is upgraded version with more stuff that is soo cool, but still as for me the fantasy theme was just much better suited than this. However it is nice they did a second theme so anyone can chose what they flavor is , maybe they will do a 2nd edition with all the changes the space! got or an expansion with all the stuff, single modular map would be a cool expansion before the space! came out.

I had hoped for a stand-alone that could be mixed with the First game. The fact that the theme is totaly diffrent, is sad and a no go for me. There are some elements i hope the put in the First game, and some i hope that stays in this stand-alone.. Hope further expansions are for the original game.

I like that you do play throughs, but I feel that they're too scattered to follow with coherency. You jump around like you're explaining it on the spot and it's not easy to follow.

DTM I can't understand why anyone would sell Clank let alone be happy about it. Unless someone offered you a hundred dollars or more for it.

Unfortunately it wasnt a hundred bucks... But what I did not like in Clank was the risk of a player getting in and out too quickly, just going for the easiest artifact. It happened in every game and always left me underwhelmed with a feeling I only played half of the game... hence I sold it... and hence I happy not only because I sold it but also because I understand they mitigated that risk in this version, making it a longer but richer gaming experience... hence now I am sad because I know I will be $60 poorer very soon... I just dont know where to send the money since no retailer is showing the game yet.

DTM It's going to be released for retail in the fall but limited copies will be available at Gen Con. I always thought that the running out quick after grabbing an easy artifact was kind of lame too. But that person doesn't always win so it didn't bother me that much. As long as you can get back above ground you still score so if you got a decent artifact you could easily still win. I still see your point though. Solo play with the app keeps me interested in it too. I will say this, if the space version had come out first I probably wouldn't have bought the fantasy version.

DTM That's awesome that you get to go but yeah you might miss out unless Renegade is smart and allocates a certain amount of games to sell per day. I can't remember the number of their booth but they probably give you a map or something I'm guessing. I've never been there so I don't know. I hope you get what you want though!:)

Rahdo, why did you leave Reddit? It was a bit anti-climatic to just leave without justification :( I don't think anyone was blaming you for their disappointment. Everyone knows it was Renegade Games who created the hype train, that never pleases everyone in the hobby. I actually enjoyed read you interact with the community, it saddens me to see you leave.

i left without explanation because i didn't want to fuel more negativity. my hope is everyone just says "oh, he's gone. okay, moving on". anyway, as to why i left, for me it was the only viable response to the overall wave of negativity, on BGG, on reddit, on youtube, towards something that was intended (by everyone involved... me, the developers, other boardgame video folks) to provide pure joy and fun for people. it really just broke me down to see such a lovely little event turn sour all over the place, and made me realize i need to do more to get this sort of negativity out of my life by any means necessary! it was the reddit straw that broke my back, so I had to quit, cold turkey. if there was a way for reddit to ban my MAC address from even looking at the site, I'd take that option, because i just want no part of it any more. basically, i just need to cut more blunt negativity out of my life. society provides enough already, i don't need it in my boardgames as well.

I understand, it must be hard to walk into a thread and read so many negative things on something you feel you played a role on. I think it's inevitable that some people will be disappointed at anything you throw them, no matter how hard you work. Negativity is everywhere, no matter what social platform you choose (judging by the comments, even youtube). Try not to take it too personal because while the vocal minority is complaining on social platforms the larger majority is either excited about it or playing it at GenCon. Just have fun doing what you do and ignore people who hate for the sake of hating. Have fun!

In the very foundation of this hobby, boardgaming, which more and more people are sharing these days, stands the word "game", which most of the world's population associates with the word "fun". That is what the games are for, that is what the board games are for, that is what your channel is for - pure fun, enthusiasm and love for board games.
