The main reason this sounds 'right' for Middle Earth, and it does, is because the group Clannad, is made up by siblings Ciarán, Pól, and Máire Brennan, and their twin uncles, Noel and Pádraig Duggan. The other Brennan sister, who used to tour with them before going solo, is non other than Enya. Which is why this song, and May It Be, have that same haunting feel about them. But no matter how much it fits, or how much I love the LOTR/Hobbit saga, it will always, for me, belong to the Robin Of Sherwood TV series, Season 3 'Inheritance' episode, which it was written for.

Thanks for your information. I love these guys and thier music. I never saw Sherwood. I live in Canada now, so there are some cool series and things we don't get up here, but I will look it up. With music like this it must be good.

Although it's a completely different style of music a song I associate with the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings is "Emotion in Motion" ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4e7qmp3qM-pgpY ).
