Thank you for posting this. Have put these up many times in my Army days but there was always at least 2 people to do it. Had always wondered what method would be used to put it up by yourself. Good job

Thank you for making this video, I have a clansman mast which I use with various CB antenna, I've always struggled putting it up this will be a great help.. Thanks

what antenna would you put ontop of this mast?

A Ground spike antenna (with an elevation kit) for VHF use or a 320 whip slotted into an adapter on the top for HF. You can also rig up a dipole. You could stick an EVHF (pineapple) on top for VHF, but that might be a bit heavy

ok but to long its not the army way . one man can do it but not like you have done it. you need a ront plate with a spike in it and put it into the ground and the top has 2 bits with holes in and a piece of tubing that fits into the fiber glass pole . put all poles together and antenna on the top fit guide ropes and just pull it up. if you want a picture of the one i made let me know , and it will save you time etc.

you fit 2 sets of guys and pull the complete mast upright with the 3rd set, you can do it alone even with a breeze blowing. youre method would never work in a wind.
