military press has somewhat different body mechanics and pathways to handstand push up with military press you just need to be strong, with handstand push up you need to be stable and strong

@@ikrammaududi6205 there's some carry over from military press or OHP though. I lifted weights for 6 years and switched to bodyweight, once I got the balance figured out I was able to pump out 10 reps relatively easily

Definitely is carry over. Just look at Olympic lifters. A saw klokov do 20 reps easy off of blocks, head going below the floor

you need explosive strength for this. try getting really consistent with regular clap pushups. doing only regular handstand pushups won't get you there

@@junioralexutz7582 Alright but not counting it if it doesn't clap is a bit overkill; If your hands don't touch, I agree, but if they do I still count it because then it doesn't depend on how explosive you are but how fast you can clap... which is different, and the important thing is to have the strenght :)
