C. G. is center of gravity where whole mass of the body is assumed to be concentrated.

its centre of gravity. for example when you take a simply supported beam, which has a point load at centre of the beam .So we get c.g( i.e centre of gravity from left hand side support ( since it's having point load at midpoint !
