I like how the NPC in the game that's based on Michael was made to look like a player. With the gun on his back and a shield on his belt. Even giving you free weapons he finds, implying that he's a player, still playing the game, finding loot, and giving the extras to other players. I may be thinking too much into it, but I thought it was nice.
@IceDragon9789 жыл бұрын
That's the same thing I thought. I don't care if it was really why Gearbox did it the way they did, I'm choosing to believe that's really what it means.

For them it feels like liking means you approve of the persons death, while dislike means that they hate that it has happen. When it comes to these videos, remember that people doesn't see like/dislike the same way as normally, this is why i don't like these videos because neither of them make sense.

Videos like this are a Doubled edged sword, on one hand you gotta like the video for what gear box has done in memorandum to a fan. On the other you also have to dislike it, for the fact that such a video has to exist, and a life had to pass, when we would prefer that life to still be with us as fan. But this video allows us to remember or get to know a fallen fan, or even just now (in my case) learn of him

Despite the large amount of rage, trolling, and downright cruelness the gaming community can have for one another (especially depending on which video on KZbin you decide to comment on), I've noticed that whenever one of our fellow cadets in this great war of gaming falls, we put aside our differences and learn to enjoy our games in peace and happiness, even if only for a moment. I look through the comments on this video, and i think to myself, "What if was it was always like this? What if by some miracle, we gamers learned that our differences only make us more unique, that it doesn't matter if this person likes a certain game more than another, or that that person hates a certain genre of game." The day we learn to treat our fellow gamer guys and gals with respect and FRIENDLY banter, would be an amazing day indeed. But this is probably just the crazy wishful thinking of a teenager who probably needs to go outside more. Still.... Rest in Peace, Michael, you're in a better place now, probably fighting the big Terramorphous in the sky. Thanks for the loot, and know that you will never be forgotten. Also, to everyone talking about the Yoteslaya controversy in the comments, we don't know who was drunk that night, who was driving the car, it doesn't matter. Yoteslaya touched the hearts of many viewers, and i believe he deserves some form of mention for the amount of fans he brought over to the Borderlands community. Maybe not as big of one as Michael, but still. Do you really want him to be remembered for how he died, or how he lived?

@AtrumNoxProductions9 жыл бұрын
IceDragon978 Look up YoteSlayer on KZbin. He did some very very well put together BL2 videos, by far the best. He did do other vids, But BL2 was what I watched. Then a few years ago, he was drunk driving and some train gate arms came down. He thought that he could race around them before the train. He killed himself, and his friends. People want in him BL3 or BL:PS because of Micheal. He was a huge BL1 player, and died because of cancer. So 2K put Micheal in BL2 as a remembrance. Now a lot of people want to put Yote in other BL games because Yote died. I don't think they should because he died because he was an idiot. This wasn't his first known problem with drinking. He already had a DUI, and shot at a school during a house party with an AR15, while drunk. It would be an insult to Micheal and his friends/family to put Yote in a BL game. Yote's BL legacy lives in his videos. Even though he sounds kinda like a douche.

Having saw this video when it first came out i got quite choked up about it, and how fantastic it was for gearbox to honour Michaels life in this way. Having got Borderlands 2 earlier, i just came across him in the game and got the achievement and instantly remembered this video. What an amazing tribute to a borderlands fan. Gearbox, you are awesome.

You are still remembered, even 11 years later. Borderlands 2 is still being played, and you are still being found there.

For a company like Gearbox to go out of their way just to show respect and kindness to those going through what had to be a tragic loss is just awesome, and shows just how much they care about their fans. Faith in humanity restored Gearbox.

I wish I could put my feelings into words, but there is no way I could even begin to express how thankful I am to have found this video. To the friends and family of Michael Mamaril, please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your fallen friend. To Gearbox, so many companies treat their customers and users like a demographic rather then human beings. Thank you so much for showing how amazing it can be when your virtual world collides with reality to form such an amazing symbol of love.

Michael should be in every Borderlands from here on out... live on forever in the borderlands Michael. That''s really cool of you guys at gearbox. I'm glad you did this for him and i'm proud to be a fan. RIP bro. I bet legendary drop rates are 100x better in heaven.
