Whatever does not have beginning cannot have a cause P2.the big bang does not have beginning C.therefore the big bang does not have a cause This argument is valid meaning it logically from premises to its conclusion Now your task is to substantiate these premises with some evidences or rational justification Now the first premise most people might agree with so you might be off the hook with that The second premise most people might challenge that base on second law of thermodynamics, the expansion of the universe, the age of the universe, space time continuum so on if you do provide some justification for this premise essentially you would show that the existence of big bang is supernatural I.e unscientific why because elementary science is base on cause and effect As for her using her premise to prove her premise it's clear circular reasoning fallacy I hope that help inshaAllah Indeed Allah knows best

This conflation between how our minds make sense of things and how things really are can be a major source of confusion in these debates. We know of and can measure events in particle/quantum physics without a cause, so the possibility has to be accepted if we argue facts with the support of science. Brother: regarding circular vs linear progression of the universe Clara is working on conjectures. Infact we know for a fact that TIME is linear. Even if you were to go thru a wormhole and return back to the same place it would actually be in a different time. Time and motion are intricately linked. If suddenly everything in the universe froze with Brownian motion = 0, then time would cease to exist within that frame of reference. It is by the motion of strings, particles, galaxies, etc that time is manifest from the abstract to the concrete. Since motion of every particle in the known universe is linear hence time is linear and the circular hypothesis is false. By circular if Clara means repetitive, then yes just as a runner goes around a track the universe can have expansion, contraction, big bang phases but it's still unidirectional. Just because the runner has run the same direction 3 times and appears back around to starting line you wouldn't say it's his first lap. No you would say he is STARTING his 3rd lap. It's linear motion in a circular pattern.
