Aww wow … the sound of this instrument gives me the chills!!! You never get that sort of resonance on a modern piano-I mean how the sound changes throughout the dynamic range and each register has a different voice. The sustain and expression is so special and seduces my ears!!!

Sensitive fingers-touch, legs-pedal-working, and musical heart and mind - makes this wonderful expression of Sharon, adopted 100% to this fine replica of fortepiano, and produces the best sound of this instrument. Beautiful performance of beautiful 3 pieces by Clara Schumann. I heard it again and again, without getting tired. It touched my heart. Thanks Sharon for this upload. Bravissima!

Is it a modern copy of one of Clara’s instruments? I found videos of Tiffany Poon playing a Steiner and Clara herself really admired the Grotrian instruments, she expressed Grotrian in the same way Debussy expressed Bechstein …

This is a modern copy after Jakob Bertsche, in the Viennese tradition of the early 19th century, so somewhat earlier than Clara's generation. Instruments of this type and aesthetic are more typically used for earlier repertoire like Beethoven, Schubert etc.
