The painting at 38:00 by Hope Gangloff makes me sad, I don’t think I would normally fell that way if it wasn’t for the blue and orange combination. I think the fact that the colors reflect a midday mood bring back a flood of memories. I can’t stop seeing blue and orange everywhere

Once you really think about color combos, they start popping up all over the place! Hope Gangloff is a fantastic painter, there's so much emoting from her use of color :) - Mia Rozear, Art Prof Staff

This is actually my fave combo LOL. I get so many compliments when I wear my royal blue shirt and my bright red-orange lipstick. They make each other pop

I agree-- there's something SO satisfying about blue and orange - Mia Rozear, Art Prof Staff

Probably a silly idea, but Do you recommend training your eye to understand value at the early mornings/dawn when the colors in the environment are not “stealing the show”? Would it be like a live version of editing a photo to make it black and white/greyscale? Thanks!
@artprof3 жыл бұрын
That's a GREAT way to understand value! Looking at the same photo in color and then in grayscale is a wonderful way to study color relations :) - Mia Rozear, Art Prof Staff

I am searching for a short video discussing colors interacting like people featuring red blue & yellow claymation figures. Did I imagine this?

You didn't! That clip is from our still life drawing in crayon video; this specific link will take you to that section of the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6vSgXxsYsmfhK8 -Prof Lieu
