RIP Clarence Williams III. Played some of the best roles on television but _Tales_ and _Sugar Hill_ are bonafide classic roles.

Clarence made history the old-fashioned way: he earned it. There was no glitter-glam, posturing, or artificial notoriety, just good solid acting. Best of all, he didn't let himself get pigeonholed...sometimes he was the good guy, sometimes the bad guy, but always the excellent actor. Clarence, rest in peace, rest in power.

Man, this guy. Mad respect. Such a force in acting. From the early days....Mod Squad to Sugar Hill to even Star Trek, Deep Space Nine....he fills out completely every role he plays.

Clarence Williams III : an incredibly gifted and powerfully insightful uber deep thinking brother who brought characters to life on screen to the level that made it reality - and the viewer is there! For us growing up in the real hood (in my case the mean streets of South Bronx, NY)- CWIII was our idol - a hero and role model with his performance as “Linc” on Mod Squad- (forgot the cop angle)- he brought so many layers to Linc and played him with strength, pride and dignity- a strong BLACK MAN- whose pursuit of truth, justice and meaning was inspirational!! R.I.P. 🙏🏿🌅✊🏾

An American Icon,As a white man this fine Gentleman touched me emotionally growing up and I have never before or since experienced anything like his screen presence,I don’t understand how he’s not celebrated more,Perhaps it’s the perversion of the industry of which he had nothing to do with,I’ve never been more certain of anything in my life. Rest in peace Mr. Clarence Williams III

Sorry Clarence, society has failed us. We have all these avenues to obtain knowledge during these times, but many still glorify the dumb and simple minded thinking. No one wants to be a true leader.., but they want the accolades.
