Much respect to her I honestly thought she was done with mma. She has a lot of work to do still. She needs to take some bjj classes for sure and work her way up we already know she got hands so her wrestling and bjj needs to be more of a focus

Claressa should get in the gym and start learning to get off her back. Literally have a wrestling coach start her on bottom and teach her how to get her hips and legs moving properly to get back to her feet. She’s got so much talent it would be great to see her ground game improve. 🐐

@@spicyhot2552 so let me get this straight? After all of the accomplishments shes had and let's not forget she's she did all this in her teens and in her 20s .and also u say the fighters shes beaten has more knockouts than she does. So she must have some type of greatness to sustain all of the knockout fighters shes beaten wouldn't that be true? Or u just choose to minimize her accomplishments no matter what because ur comment is ass backwards thanks for ur reply

@@anthonytaylor7928 Well I'm entitled to my opinon ...I think Claressa is a danm good fighter ...but some of the women she's fought..she should've been able to knock them out or at least a technical knockout..Claressa herself has spoken about her frustrations on not being able to knock out some of her opponents...Laila Ali spoke about it years ago as well

It takes a long time to have a complete skill set for mma. Even though she’s an elite athlete from another combat sport. It’s gonna take 3-4 more years before she can compete with the best. There’s a reason the average ufc champion is over 30. I wish the best for her though ☺️

No chance possible for The GWOAT to face you in MMA this early in her career, champ. You'd murder her right now. You're the first and only Grand Slam MMA Champ. Because of the fact that boxing is part of MMA's DNA and you've been feared first as a powerful MMA striker, the only chance you'd have of getting a bag from The GWOAT is in a boxing match at 154 or 147...and that's only if there's a big bag and substantial title belt on the line. In boxing, Claressa enjoys a massive experience advantage over you, but not as humongous an advantage as you have over her in MMA. I think you know even better than I do that what I posted to you above is true.

Clarissa has come a long way and as she pointed out making the transition from boxing to MMA is hard. Most can't do it. So salute to her for being courageous and training hard. The only thing she really needs to work on is her ground game. She needs some lessons in wrestling or jiut jitsu. Her stand up is mostly boxing and it's solid, sort of like a Justin Porier. Can't wait to see her have more success. Keep practicing and pushing forward.

I just looked up Desantis' she's 35 with a record of 1-3. I was actually looking forward to Shields being tested by a solid fighter but Desantis is a tomato can set up to take a loss and improve Shields record. Desantis was already exhausted by round 2 and despite being terrible with takedowns was still able to take Shields down and get mount multiple times. Shields better step it up if she's going to be a serious MMA fighter, the competition can't get much easier that Desantis. That said, I hope Shields does improve as I think her style will be fun to watch and she seems like a great person.

@fortunateson2 Agreed indeed. From my perspective, Clarissa got into MMA for money AND because Amanda Nunes was said to be the pound for pound hardest puncher and the GOAT of women pro fighters. I'm sure that incensed Clarissa to take a chance and get into MMA. Unfortunately, the MMA seems like a part time job. I feel like she's not really training hard enough in the core principles (wrestling, kickboxing, BJJ, etc). Also, her opponents seem uncharacteristically tame. Seeing their other fights before they go up against Clarissa seem like I'm watching a totally different fighter. Is she "can crushing"? Maybe. IDK.
