Elle Pace Hi, Medici is firstly in Italy TV and then a couple months later, so in 2020 is in English from foreign platforms :)

La morte di Clarice e la scena con Lorenzo al suo capezzale è stata straziante 💔,ma io sono definitivamente crollata con quella di Lorenzo 😭💔😭 In questa terza stagione si è visto quanto si amassero a vicenda (soprattutto lei,mi verrebbe da dire), malgrado lui non si sia sempre comportato in modo esemplare...La colorazione che hai usato è molto bella, sembra quasi naturale!!!!!👏🏻👏🏻🎉

How exactly did she die? I just finished watching the season, and after she collapsed in the church, I couldn't figure out if it was an illness (like her tuberculosis irl) or a miscarriage, or just grief that killed her?

@@claudiareadsitall the old lady had seen Tommaso's murder by Bruno, who is Lorenzo's counselor and Lorenzo had given her some money so she wouldn't talk about the murder to anyone, so Clarice had seen the old woman while she was leaving their palace with the money. She eventually recognized her in the church and that's why she collapsed - she did understand everything Hope I explained well, and sorry for my bad english

I feel like her death was a mixture of grief and heartbreak. Like she’s this very strong Christian who’s been doing everything for her Medici family then she finds out her husband’s changed. Not who he was and someone who rejects God. Before she found out about him plotting and hiding a murder, she was also very shook up about Lorenzo selling their daughter off to a drunkard dude/Pope’s son. And before that, they paid the new Pope into his position. Something Clarice took part in because she was doing what was asked of her but deep inside she knew it wasn’t the right thing to do. However, in order to save and protect her family, she did her part. Her discovering that they weren’t as pure and righteous as they portrayed themselves to be was just too much for her.

Autistic Hope Lorenzo de medici died 4 years later at the age of 43. Clarice died at the age of 35

Lorenzo and Clarice weren't that old when they died (in her 30s and in his early 40s) so they just gave the actors a more mature look.

Can I ask, I read that Clarice died alone and Lorenzo wasnt even in her funeral. Have I bad information? I am not surprise to see it like that, this show romantize these two a lot. Just curious how it really was :)

Yes it's true! Clarice died alone and Lorenzo was far from her 'cause he was sick. He loved her because he sent a letter to the Pope and in which he was very sad for the death of his wife

I read only Mateo Strukul one..

@@nikist1407 sorry but I can't say about, I have studied the family of Medici at school and i have been in Florence for a few days some years ago but I haven't read about them on books. I'm looking for a good book but I have only found books about the show and we all know it's not like the reality for many aspects. I am happy to see that people of other countries are looking for studying the real story of Medici, I think this is the real result that the show wanted to realize 😊

niki st I read some essays about Medici Family but they are in Italian, you can search on Internet, maybe they have a translation. The best one is “I medici. Storia di una famiglia” by Umberto Dorini. Well, Lorenzo loved Lucrezia when he was a boy. Then he hadn’t lovers except Clarice, he was a very faithful husband. He loved his wife so much, he respected her a lot. He wasn’t at her funeral because he was very sick. Lorenzo sent a letter to the pope in which he wrote all the love he had for his wife. He was so heartbroken.

I think they deserve that their show is watched in legal ways so that they get ratings for every view.

Spoiler! Clairce dies! For those of us who have not watched season 3 of Medici yet since it hasnt aired in the US or Canada yet. I diliberately avoided researching the history of the Medici family untill after i watch each season. Please don't put plot points in your titles.

He never deserved her. His cheating again was pathetic. In actuality they were more a platonic love. He cheated. She dies young and alone feeling. He didn't mourn her as much as the show portrays

He didn't cheat again! He told Ippolita that there couldn't be anything between them because he was married and he respected Clarice too much. He rejected Ippolita's advances. Lorenzo was actually one of the few men during this period of history who didn't cheat on his wife during their whole marriage. We only see him meeting Lucrezia twice during the first month of the arranged marriage when he and Clarice were basically still strangers to each other. But he realized that he respected Clarice too much and ended things with Lucrezia and with time Lorenzo and Clarice fell in love with each other, he respected her and her opinions deeply and when Clarice died he was devastated. In reality he wasn't present for Clarice's death because he was in another city because of his illness at that time and Clarice died suddenly without notice. But after that Lorenzo wrote a letter to the pope where he showed how deeply in love he was with Clarice and how devastated he was about her death. So even in reality we know that Lorenzo loved Clarice. Clarice even revealed to Bianca in letters that Lorenzo called her "my breath" as an affectionate pet name.

In reality he wasn't even there with her at her death and funeral. I get it that time he was in another City and she died suddenly without notice, and so he couldn't be there for her. But not attending her funeral? Seriously! That was the last straw. And not to mention in real life she had tuberculosis, so in that serve sickness how can he leave her alone and tend for his own sickness? I also know that he sent a letter to the pope revealing how much he loved her. But I think it was just to protect his name, that he really wasn't a jerk to her. Nothing more.
