My issue is that I hate it when the filter curls on one side leaving a small opening for the water to come out on the other side… otherwise, its a great filter!

Check the motor when you reinstall it and make sure it's level I've had this happen before when I let the motor sit on the clear guide.

How often you change out the roll and did you notice any difference in the nitrate and phosphate

I change the roll every couple of weeks and my no3/po4 has been kept under control.

I love it but the only thing I hate is the alarm goes off after 8 hrs if it hasn't triggered. So it needs to be reset very frustrating. So if the bypass is open the alarm would be going off all the time. Have you found this at all?

The only reason the alarm would go off like that is because the roll has not moved in that period of time try closing the bypass so the water level reaches the float sensor.

Problem I'm getting with mine the two bottom rollers get the filter roller stuck after 2 days then the new side of the filter mat gets wet and then the tube on the new mat side gets stuck on the roller

Try the extention arm to raise the clean roll up to could help it from wicking. I have only had this problem with one roll hopefully moving the roll higher up helps.

Do they smell at all?

Surprisingly there wasn't a noticeable smell.....now if you stuck your nose on the roll yeah there was a faint smell.
