Thanks again for sharing something so awakening. My favorite was the discussion about connectivity to the land and it's added incentive to better support the tangible things we share.

Love the series and love this episode! So refreshing to see someone who is passionate about the environmental issues we have facing our world. I care deeply about this subject and I learned something new today with regards to China and our fish consumption. These are important subjects to be educated on and spread awareness! Thanks for sharing!

First of all, congrats on 100k subs! I'm so happy for you! And secondly, this video was just what I needed after finding out the election results. It's nice to be able to focus on the positive and what we can do moving forward, how individuals have the power to change the world through our daily decisions! Thank you Aileen! This was such a lovely interview. Clarissa is an absolute boss. What she is doing is so commendable and beautiful. The world needs more people like her willing to challenge the status quo!

This was amazing!! I completely love this series you're doing. It is SO meaningful. These type of information with complete story telling feature and process exposure is what helps young people like myself develop interest in possible career paths. Otherwise, we tend to base it on how much money and holiday does this job provide vs another job, as they are the only available information to us on the internet to make decisions on. Even intern places don't give a holistic insight into specific career as we're mostly just thrown into the details.

I am taiwanese and live in orange county. I started growing an edible landscape/food forest during the pandemic. We are so blessed in socal to have a climate where almost anything grows. I have wax apples and litchi and lots of taiwanese fruits and veggies. I loved this interview and hope we cross paths one day!

Wow, watching this video gave me so much to think about and gave me so much information on how I can help my own community (: Creating a food forest is something I'm really looking forward too simply because my mom loves her fruit trees in our garden and I know she will be psyched when I tell her I want to help and get involved starting here in our home :D ...it's funny how I started watching your channel to fold and organize my clothes the kon Mari way and now I'm informing myself on so much more than that

She's talking about things I haven't thought about that, and I appreciate her knowledge! It sounds like the world is far from this "knowing where food comes from" kind of knowledge. As someone who has a a distant relationship with food, I would be interested in investing changes like this to be more appreciative when I do eat food. Thank you Clarissa and Congrats Aileen for this huge milestone!

Man, i like her stuff. She doesn't just travel and learn about stuff-- she uses writing as a means of sharing with us a bigger perspective-- people in the metro almost always tend to look inward-- not that it's bad, but the details make them kinda indifferent of all the other things that can be found outside their zones

Congrats on your KZbin milestone once again, Aileen! :) Love the imagery in this video and fantastic job on the videography with such a lovely chill vibe. I totally love talking about food and sustainability; just the sheer amount of things we could be doing to create a more sensible approach to food is mind blowing and Clarissa's vision really inspires (I'd totally wanna live in a world like that). What is cool is that more and more people are becoming aware of current issues and trying to be more conscious about what they consume at least when you look at local and organic produce, minimalism and stuff like foodsharing (pretty cool thing gaining traction in Europe). Lots of hope for the future in that regard (maybe not in regard to other things *Trump about to cut all renewable energy funding and climate change agreements*).
@lavendaire8 жыл бұрын
thank you!! it really is mind blowing, right? I'm so glad you could connect to her vision - let's keep spreading the awareness for a better future in all aspects :) I truly believe this movement is only going to keep growing (minimalism, zero-waste, conscious consumption, foodsharing... all of this is interconnected and tell a lot about how our society is progressing!)

I love this interview, because it really opened my eyes to how wasteful we are as humans. I personally have never eaten meat and I never want to, but we definitely need to educate people about what they're eating more.

I'm in Culinary school and the toughest thing to see is the insane amount of waste in classes. I've seen whole cakes, pastries, fresh greens and herbs go right in the garbage. We aren't allowed to take food home but I'm tired of it and am going to have to break some rules. I've been sneaking these left over foods in my bag and giving it to the homeless. It's my social responsibility.

oh man! that would break my heart too. i hate to see food go wasted. thanks for doing what you do!!

I actually really enjoyed listening to her talk. Just at the end it gave me the impression that she might come from a "big city girl" background, so all this idea of cultivating your own food is new to her and she's, with fair reason, facinated by it, but more than being a new concept that we have to embrace, it's more like people should look at how people used to live, or how people in the countryside live, this might not be the case in the USA, but in Mexico it is still common to have your own fruit trees at home, and share with your neighbors, and people who live in little towns do this more commonly. We only commonly consume dairy that is not industrialized, but it comes directly from the people who made them from scratch, no brands, no industry involved. So I think she would really find it interesting to see how people in small towns live in Mexico. Anyway, like I said I really enjoyed the video, I thought 30 minutes would be too long for me to watch till the end, but I did lol
@lavendaire8 жыл бұрын
yes - she's from LA and spent her college years in New York at NYU. And you're right, small towns do experience this more than people in cities and I'm glad she's spreading this message to more people who don't see what you see in everyday life. :) and also really glad that you enjoyed the 30 min! I really was trying to cut it down even more but I didn't want to remove any valuable information.

I totally agree with her! Most of Chinese people especially in Shanghai, people do not care about the food anymore, only care about the beauty. However, this made a huge cultural running off in China. I am doing a 100 years old sweets brand; all the ingredients are natural and have treatment function for our body. But no young generations around know about it anymore… =(
