This version of the song (the cover I mean) sounds much better. It is just so clear and relaxed. I feel like in this version you can actually just picture the meaning of the words and have like a movie in your head while you listen to it. Meanwhile, with the original version, I did not feel the same way at all.

Actually, Alex J, that means that this cover failed to capture the meaning of the lyrics. The song is supposed to be about being confused and anxious over a romance that shouldn't be working out. The lyrics literally say, "If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy? If our love's insanity, then why are you my clarity?" Saying that a cover of this is "clear" or "relaxed" means that the song has been completely changed and the original intent has been lost.

I dont think its a matter of which is better, but which one you like better. The original is soft and sweet and clear, while this one is more powerful and emotional. I love them both, this one a bit more, and I listen to either depending on my mood. :) Either way, Glee's cover was VERY amazingly done.

When I heard that the Hoosier Daddies (I think that was their name) lost to New Directions when they had HER on lead vocals, I just couldn't take it seriously. I mean, seriously? She fucking rocked this song, and I'm sure the other two songs the groups sang but weren't included in the episode were amazing as well. Let's face it, New Directions should have lost to them.
