Love your designs and the way you use the plate. I had an anxious moment when you taped the die onto the painted surface in case the paint peeled off after cutting .... what a miracle (you've done this before haven't you!) Honestly you're such an ingenious artist, thank you so much, also for the chuckles. Very engaging video as always :)

Excellent presentation and final art piece…GORGEOUS…I LOVE it. One thing I was thinking you could use is the Cutterpillar Glow Premium Light Tablet. It’s similar to the glass mat that Tim Holtz sells, except it has a light source in it. You would be able to see where to place your mat on the paper without lifting it up to the light. There are two different ones…one is wireless and the other has a plug for the wall. I have the one with the plug as it was a gift to me, and I LOVE it. I told Tim Holtz that if he added a light source to his that I would purchase it. He still hasn’t done that. I wanted one with a light source as I have a ton of the old metal stencils that you need a light source and a stylus with them. Anyway, just a suggestion. ❤️🇺🇸❤️

Beautiful project - enjoyed watching. Just wanted to mention that there is no oil in acrylic paint. What you are seeing is binder separating out of the paint - usually gum Arabic. It can (and probably should) be mixed back in, especially if applying to non porous surfaces or it may not adhere properly (e.g. it may start peeling away over time). It doesn’t matter as much on paper since the paper is absorbent. Thanks for the awesome project!

If you take a pastel or crayon in a contrasting color to whatever is on the back, you can frottee/rub the dye just enough to have the edges and it becomes easy to cut as precisely as you want it.
