I have tried both the Clarius and the Lumify. I would say that the Clarius L15 probe is superior to the linear Lumify, for MSK. The Clarius gives very sharp images, almost like an MRI.

A comparison of this device with the eagleview, GE and Butterfly would be great. I am needing an US devise for MSK only. Which one would you recommend? Ideally, I could use them with an iPhone and iPad. Thanks in advance

Yeah I’ll try to upload more videos! :D regarding the MSK device, you mean among pocket ones or in general? MSK isn’t among my expertise field so I don’t know much… as far as I’m concerned, Clarius has some great linear probes, ideal for superficial tasks!

Tempted. I've got an original Butterfly. This is cordless, will have much better resolution for cardiac (my main love) - I'm wondering if I used it (in spite of not intended) to scan someone's lower limbs for a DVT? It has doppler, PW, so could I not at least rule out a l large DVT? Would love to know.
@mastersofultrasound2 жыл бұрын
Mm interesting ahahah worth noting PWD is $1000 extra, and the PA probe freq is 1-5MHz so not the best for shallow exams... probably a large DVT could be ruled out, but not optimally imho...

For MSK, which do you suggest? Philip's Lumify? Butterfly? GE? Clarius? on Apple Devices. Thanks!

The new Clarius PAD HD3 device has been released on the European market. Have you had a chance to try it? Does it need an annual subscription to have additional features such as PWD?

I am anaesthesiologist.My question is about Eagle view US-is it siutable for POCUS in ICU?Is the image quality good enough so to allow an exact diagnose?Or maybe GE Vscan is better concerning image quality? Thank you very much! We appreciate your work and help!

Yeah EagleView is suitable, bear in mind pocket devices will never have the same image quality as desktop machines but it’s great nonetheless!! Check my channel videos if you’re indecise ahahaha :)

Hii this is drbhargav currently doing my urology residency in India there some issues as I consulted with my radiology colleague 1 probes get damage easily 2 we have to use product that get repaired easily 3 overheating is big issues 4 sex determination issue is crime whether we have to apply licence for it 5 regarding shipping of equipment it look like buying 8 number of iPhone and just through in dustbin if issues arise . I feel technology is good but buying second hand ultrasound 🤠 can generate income instead going to bin, can be used for personal purpose as a show piece without service centres, they didn't mentioned parts that covered in insurance.thank you

Yeah, a comparision of this device with the especially eagleview would be great. I am needing an US devise for head nad neck region only… And of course nice thyroid scans. I am thinking about buying Clarius od eagleview. Which one would you recommend? I am going to use them with an iPhone and iPad. Thank you!!!!!

If you're gonna need a linear probe only, I would go with the clarius one. Images will be sharper :)

I am a sportsdoctor. I need a handpocket model for MSK. Which brand would u advice?
@mastersofultrasound3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, Clarius (4495$) or EagleView (2820$). Clarius probably slightly better B mode quality, EagleView more affordable with better battery and scan time without heating. Check the EagleView review in my channel so that you can obtain your own conclusions… and I’ll post MSK videos of both in the future so stay tuned! :)

If you had to pick between the GE VScan air vs the Clarius, which would you pick for general medicine?
@mastersofultrasound3 жыл бұрын
For general medicine Vscan Air Hands down. Would consider clarius instead if you were a specialist and thus going to use one probe only. I recommend you to watch both videos on my channel before buying one😅😅 better to get the whole picture IMHO

I'm considering to buy the L20 one, which is intended for skin ultrasonography, but it's even more expensive, I've no way to test it (no distributors next to me) and I've heard about some connectivity troubles while using it. Did you have any connectivity issues while testing it?
@mastersofultrasound3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yeah the fact that it gets up to 20MHz is what probably makes it more expensive… I didn’t have any connectivity issues though. I don’t know if it was my unit only but the battery was draining if it is into the device, even if you’re not using it. So maybe after 5 days of not using it, the battery still ran from 100% to 0%. Mine was a demo unit and thus I don’t know if it applies to all the scanners tho…

@@mastersofultrasound thanks! I'm sure there will be a 2.0 version of the hardware. By the moment that battery behaviour reminds me the old Motorola mobile phones in the middle nineties, but for almost 7000 $ 🙄 Thanks again!

Thank you for the nice analysis! Did you experienced any delay between the real movement of the probe and the traslation into imaging in the screen , given the wireless technology? Thank YOu in advance!

Second this - what do you think Alex?

Honestly very similar IMHO, both are quite comparable and would support the decision based on other factors (battery, other organs required to scan, weight, cloud, etc) 😊👍🏻
