He can't catch a break LOL even as a leader, the word midcarder doesn't leave him. I mean, let's face it. In 7 months as a leader, Finlay only accomplished the NEVER Openweight belt in a MINOR FEUD with Tama Tonga. During all this time, all he managed to do was get close to the camera and cut stupid promos cursing and yelling like a frustrated bullied child with the War Dogs being their "supporters". If we take a look back, he is pointless and completely empty promised compared to the others. Devitt was the reigning junior champion when he formed Bullet Club and was the no nonsensical dude that took no sht from anyone. It took only three weeks for AJ Styles to become IWGP Champ and he was classic AJ even as a heel. It took only a month for Kenny Omega to take the Intercontinental belt from Tanahashi, and yes, the nonsense Elite war started with Kenny, but he did made some impact as such from the get go and 2 long years! And the best, it took 3 months for Jay White to snatch the IWGP world belt from Tanahashi, and he acted like a skin crawling mind killer that was on point on everything he said or did it. Hell, I was mercifully skipping this one but it even took Evil ONE FRIGGIN day to take BOTH belts from Naito, and everybody hates him to this day for such a betrayal and shocker. If you see it from this perspection, even the Dojo boys and Moloney progressed faster than Finlay, who by this point, is STILL hated as a leader, not for being a heel, but because he tries so hard to be a bad man that it comes out cringier and silly than Juice.
